  1. Anyone used a rock machinery 13hp chipper?
  2. Nice bit of stick Dillinger [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  3. Great video Good music Sweet set up [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  4. If you cut the tree 1" on the neighbours side, your client is liable. Happened to me a couple of years ago. Sycamores overhanging into a car park, cut back to fence line, up to 20' high. We cut several 1-2" branches over the fence line by 1". 20 bloody feet off the ground! Next thing we hear from client is neighbours taking him to court. Still got paid, never heard the outcome. Still do trees for client. [emoji15]
  5. Spoke to greenmech today, Very friendly and helpful! Still can't decide. This is my thinking: 5k for a really decent chipper. Quality machine, good resale etc. Or Hyundai 14hp chipper 1.5k Hyundai stump grinder 1.3k Logosol farmers mill 1.4k I don't use a chipper everyday. But the GM guy did mention a 2nd hand one for 3.5 k Thoughts?
  6. Do your homework, Learn about chainsaws, How they work, how they go wrong. Chain sharpening, practice a lot. Remember danger zones. Tension and compression. Look at the trees from several angles to see any lean. Listen to your instructor. Good luck [emoji106]
  7. Totally agree with you maple leaf. Not sure how I'm going to pay for it. But cs100 is a probability. Thanks for all the input guys. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  8. Popular on the beach? Put a large potato down your pants. (The front) [emoji12]
  9. I bought a sh*t £10 pay as you go, as a suicide site phone. 5 years later still working. I try to keep my iPhone in a zip seal bag. ( works in monsoons). Lunatik and griffon do expensive protectors.
  10. Got a winch on the trailer already.[emoji106] Probably call Pete b tomorrow. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  11. Thanks Pete, Couldn't find it on the website. I'd probably go for new one for that price. Got an ex demo going cheap?
  12. Which website? 2nd hand? Really cheap? [emoji3]
  13. Oh and the wife would probably dismember me if I bought new. [emoji15]
  14. The majority of my work is domestic, Won't need tracks (yet). The chipper will be on a 8' trailer. Probably only use it twice a week. Really tempted by the cs100 though. Anyone selling a quality used greenmech cs100? (Cheap) [emoji106]
  15. Thanks guys, the peruzzo looks great, but out of my budget. I've read all 100+ pages of the wee chipper club. That's where I heard about rock machinery. Best chipper for under £1500?
  16. Out of my budget. Or I would.
  17. Having the same issue. Hyundai 1500 14hp £1500, Rock venom £1500, Or greenmech cs100 for £4K+ If I had the extra cash I'd probably get a gm cs100. Looks like a toss up between rock and Hyundai for me. Anyone running them?
  18. As I've said before, Antarctica is waiting for you matelot [emoji12]
  19. If your log is clean, mill it. There are plenty of rotting beech trees for free. Spalting can look nice, but it is rot essentially. The tree in the picture with the branches all over will produce some great grain with tension/compression etc. Good luck [emoji106]
