  2. Don't worry mate, if you already know how to use a saw safely, it's a few days in the woods. Back cut for "standard upright" Bore cut with dog tooth for "leaners" Back cut with wedges for "back leaners" Hung up trees is an oddball, just remember the tree will generally roll towards the solid hinge, so cut on the opposite side you want it to go. Really hung up, sever the base onto the ground. Lever or drag if small or get the tirfor winch for larger. ALWAYS keep your visor down when cutting, keep chain brake on at all times, except during the cut. And keep your thumb wrapped on the top handle at ALL times. And I understand about several crap nights sleep and still having to slog it. Have confidence in yourself mate. Go slow and safe. Looking forward to hearing you've passed. 10. Been doing a lot of miles recently, So when I got a two week job in Canterbury, made the decision to create a camper van. From idea to finish about 3 hours. (The fuel is left in yard)[emoji3] It's amazing how much you can get it a small van. If you've seen my job advert that's what I'm carrying. The site is in margate, so sleeping by the sea. [emoji106]
  11. Fortunately the guy I'm working for lets me leave the cans at his yard. Tried a husky 550 ported by spud today. Made me tingle. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  12. Ford escort van 1999. 54 mpg loaded and doing 70 on motorway. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji12] You'll never see another campervan like this. Packed up for two weeks with the guys in Canterbury. [emoji3]
  13. Woohoo!!! Ford escort !!! Van derived car!!! [emoji12]
  14. Went on a milling job, 2 large ash and an oak, up a forest track. Drove up and down 2 miles, looking for a stack of ash and birch with the two big ash logs next to it. Just a clearing with bits of bark left. The only reason the oak was left as it was completely overgrown with brambles and hard to spot. Short day. [emoji51]
  15. Regarding the 460, the staff were all telling the truth. As no one had mixed the fuel. All guilty. [emoji12]
  16. Dates available after June 25th.
  17. Farmer John, I really empathise with this. I can't help with the saw fix, as I had an 075 with problems too. Spent loads of money on it, hour after hour of greasy fiddling. Eventually gave up. Had a nice chat with my local stihl dealer and bought a new 880. Starts, cuts fast, every time. My life has been so simple since. Had many other large old saws. Sold them. New stuff is so efficient.
  18. I've heard you can upgrade the coil to unlimited. Best check with someone who actually knows though. [emoji106]
  19. All pictures and videos show a broken link thing. iPhone se.
  20. Recommended reading: If you think you live in a democracy.
  21. Erm I think Plato first wrote about this about 2500 years ago in "the republic" Can't remember his exacts words but it's a bit like this. "Whether you live in a tyranny, dictatorship or liberal democracy, all society's are run by the ruling classes for the ruling classes." Sums it up really. [emoji51]
  22. Anyone seen the documentary about moving massive stones on wooden rails with spherical stones as bearings?
