  1. If this was a GreenMech then I would suggest removing the small wire from the starter motor solenoid and going through the start procedure. With the wire disconnected you should be able to hear the fuel solenoid click in as the engine won't be cranking over. Jase.
  2. Not close..
  3. Na na, na na na .....
  4. Call me tomorrow as I think we have now ?
  5. An update , This has been sorted now , turns out this chipper has the wrong ignition switch fitted , it has the crank position on the key instead of the normal on/off ignition switch. Simply moving to a different outer terminal and it worked. Jase.
  6. You could just try squashing the red terminals with a pair of pliers to close them up a bit or if you have spare terminals and crimping pliers , replace them ? Don't let either wire short to earth though.. Jase..
  7. No it's unusual and hopefully neither has shorted out to earth as that could possibly blow the circuit board.. Rumour , what rumour..? ?
  8. BTW, there should be three terminals on the ignition switch , one in the middle and two outer terminals. Connect one wire to the middle terminal and the other wire to one of the outer terminals , it doesn’t matter which wire goes to which terminal.. Jase.. Oh yeah , there’s something big coming soon from GreenMech , just in case you haven’t heard the rumour..?
  9. They go to the ignition switch..
  10. And it's a beast...
  11. It's a CM220 Dan.
  12. Maybe worth giving GreenMech a call on the off chance they still have some in stock ? Unless you've already done so ?
  13. Cos the foods crap in France..? ??
  14. We are back on 2nd Jan , but I will keep an eye on '[email protected]' emails if anyone is desperate for help.. Jase.
  15. Nice one Andy and thanks for the feedback.. Jase.
  16. Thanks Andy , you too... Jase.
  17. Ok I've just heard back from Jimmy (happy)and he has confirmed that all current flywheels for Quads are indeed balanced with disc blades fitted . When the first Quads were introduced with the square cutters , the flywheels were obviously balanced with squares and the extra bolts and spacer weights were supplied , should the owner wish to swap to discs.. I hope you can follow this.. Jase..
  18. I have just messaged Jimmy , he is on the balancer some of the time but also does flywheel refurbs, hopefully he will get back to me soon. With regards to the disc blades , we have always felt that due to the way they cut through the brash , they are kinder on everything in the driveline, especially the flywheel bearings. Maybe PeteB can remember these kits that were supplied with Mk1 Quads for customers that wanted to switch from square to round cutters ?? Jase.
  19. This man is almost spot on... Do you have a set of disc blades you can bolt on to try ? I'm almost 100% sure all the Quad flywheels are now balanced with disc blades on unless specified that square blades were fitted and the square blades from memory are heavier than disc blades which typically leave the factory somewhere between 620-650g. From memory , which is bad , in the days when we were shipping Quads out with square blades , they were supplied with a kit just in case you wanted to fit disc blades and this included longer bolts and machined weights that were added to the bolt. I can maybe speak to one of the lads that does the balancing later on today to confirm this and get back to you. If you don't have a set of disc blades , where abouts are you based ? Disc blades are the best option anyway in my opinion.. Jase.
  20. The AA I believe...
  21. Engine cradle pivots worn ? Maybe engine cradle twisted ?
  22. Welcome along Tez...?
  23. Fixed ?
  24. Why not take the plunge and buy one of those pneumatic oil suckers? We bought one primarily to change the oil on Quadchips...?
  25. Sorry , only just seen this , I'm about if it's not too late..
