  1. Here are old picture for the larger ones. I am not sure if they are the same tree species. Note the dead branches and the healing scars. I have used my silky saw to remove some of the dead branches but the rest are so high.
  2. I am still not sure, they are about 12 inch in diameter and very straight with very few side branches. I have counted 30 of them in small area. I feel bad as I have owned the wood four months now and just noticed them today. There are similar but older trees with darker bark and several dead side branches but tree bark grow around the dead branches and covered the wounds. As if they are self pruning !!
  3. I have got several in my wood.
  4. Small I know, but is is just a start.
  5. Thanks Guys for you help I have googled the elder And read about it. Seems good for birds. Will cut only few to clear the path and will leave the rest. I am new in here and will be asking more questions soon. Thanks again.
  6. Do they ever grow to long straight trees?
  7. Can you help me identifying this. I have too many of them in my wood. They grew every where And I want to cut several of them to clear a path. They are easy to cut with a folding saw but would they grow back. What are they anyway, are they good for wild life?

  11. Thanks for advice, I have removed all guards and cleaned the mud around the trees but sadly over 75% of the trees are dead.
  12. Steroid injection does help. Your GP should be able to do it for you. Physiotherapy can help but it does take time.
  13. Most are dead
  14. Another one

  16. I have recently acquired a small woodland which has been neglected for long time. Part of the wood has been planted with Larch trees. Few of the trees managed to grow and the majority are either dead or half dead. They have been all protected with square kind of tree guard. Close inspection confirmed that the tree guards has been filled with mud and dead leaves over long time and caused tree stem to rot. See pictures.
  17. Howa loose muffler can be fixed. Does it need special tools.
  18. Very nice program.
  19. Excellent idea, Thanks for sharing. Anyone knows the name of the son.
  20. Thanks. so really I don't need another small saw. Husky 365 is the best but I guess it is too much for my current needs.
  21. Thanks guys I think I need 50 cc saw. I did compression test today on my MAC, it is 38cc and after 5 pulls it read 150-155 PSI. Is this good? Never done compression test before.
  22. No money left to buy anything
  23. Thanks for advice Husky 450 sounded good. 562 I think will be Too much for my needs and also way above my budget.
  24. Forgot to mention, most of the wood are hardwood.
  25. Most of the trees will be between 15-20 inch but there are couple of trees with 28-30 inch.
