  1. Does not seem like you can hold a job down though, nor stick to one trade and gain any kind of qualifications. It will bite you in the ass later.
  2. Well that makes a change from correcting what you assumed in an earlier post was an incorrectly spelt word (it was not) with two failed editing attempts with made up words. Whats next? Words with two syllables? The worlds your Oyster now Eggy.
  3. And now Im a model Member. Ive done my time and learned my lessons. Kinda like when you where gobbling your way through your prison sentence, right? You're a good boy now I assume? Clearly rehabilitation works.
  4. You're replying to a question that was not asked, as you well know. I clearly quoted the part of your statement that I was referring to. Are you dyslexic by any chance, genuine question?
  5. Can you live there year round? Many 'Hytter' in Norway do not allow permanent residence, might be different in Sweden though? I know many Norwegians have Hytters in Sweden as its much cheaper to live than in Norway and obviously because its very beautiful there as well. Just make sure its no where near Malmö.
  6. Another point of view is maybe the trees can be dropped in sections and a Mill could be brought around the back? Lucas Mill or a Chainsaw Mill? Might not make the job any cheaper but you'd have some lovely valuable timber that you could either use or sell.
  7. Nothing wrong with the Trailer. It just cost me £3600 delivered inc vat. It was not available when I bought the Mill but was told it was on its way. Had I known it was going to cost that much I think I'd have gone for the Woodlands. The Trailered B1001 looks like a cracking beast! Comes with toys the B751 does not or cannot be fitted to, as yet. If I had the money Id love one.
  8. Mind if I ask what a day rate is if you're including two bands? What do you do if you need more than 2 bands? Is the two bands just dull and needing a re-sharpen? cheers
  9. Thanks Rough, Im not really sure what my overheads are. Im just doing this for a favour for a Tree Surgeon I know who I get a supply of wood from. He was gonna do it but does not have the time, plus the guy wanting the work done supplies firewood so maybe another good contact to make? Thankfully its not Chainsaw Milling so will be minimal setting up times and its less than 20 minutes from me. Ok, I'll let him know he's liable for a new Blade if I hit a nail etc. For better or worse I ended up getting the Logosol B751. On the whole I like it but Im still annoyed at the price of the Trailer. But it is plated and stamped up for road use, unlike some of the others which Im lead to believe are sold as off-road use only, nudge nudge, wink wink.
  10. Ive got a lad wanting some Oak Milled with my Bandsaw as Ive now got it on the Trailer. Ive told him it will be £30 an hour as Im not overly fussed about doing the job. But what else should I charge for or at least make him aware that he'll be liable for? Ie hitting nails etc. Wear and tear on Blades and all that? Cheers.
  11. No, and I explained why. If you still think that's being a Grass then that's on you. We clearly run in very different circles. I have zero contact with people who knick stuff or have been involved with knicking stuff. Nor do I have any association with anyone who's been in jail or have been in jail myself. The concept and real world usage of the word grass simply does not enter my sphere at all and I sincerely hope it remains that way.
  12. Fair enough. Thats a much better attitude and response than earlier, and hopefully honest. I do know what its like to be cornered on the internet though, you kinda end up sticking to your guns regardless. (I do anyway) If nothing else this threads a good reminder for me, and maybe a few others to watch what we're doing on the open road. Reminds me its really not worth it at the end of the day.
  13. Carry on the way your going and you'll end up in the nick and something else will be getting stretched on a regular basis.
  14. Id not call the cops on someone based on a picture on the internet. But in all honesty if I seen you that over laden, spoke to you about how reckless it was and you laughed and carried on yes Id call the police, but let you know I was doing so. Its no different than if I seen a mate attempting to drive home after 8 pints. Both actions are putting other lives at unnecessary risk.
  15. Then free housing, free council tax, free pension credits, child benefit the list goes on. My old man, the lazy scroat that he is has not worked a day in the last 20 years yet will get he full state pension because he gets pension credits. My mum wont as she has missing years. Its a bloody con. Anyway, the point being is apart from wanting to better yourself and having some self respect whats the point in knocking your pan in for 40 hours a week when you can pump out a few kids and get a nice three bed house and live off the tax payer and be just as well off? I blame Brexit!
  16. I know this article is a few years old but when benefits pay an equivalent of £23k a year what incentive is there to work for a wage at or close to this amount? The benefits system needs overhauled significantly. Thousands of single people living on benefits worth £23,000 WWW.TELEGRAPH.CO.UK More than 4,000 jobless singletons have been living on benefits worth more than many full-time salaries.
  17. Crazy, huh? Dole must be paying to good these days.
  18. Enquirer? Is that the Cincinnati or the National Enquirer you're referring to? Anyway, maybe Rough can confirm if he actually stated his rates? Im not so sure he did. He states further down what he actually paid the Groundie, not that he stated that in the advertisement.
  19. Im not following? What does Enquiire mean?
  20. To be fair even those paying bottom rates will still state they are paying top rates. Unless you actually include the 'top rate' in the listing I can see why people would not be so keen to inquire.
  21. Me to, but in a negative way. It means they are recouping the shipping costs by other means, generally by adding it to the products price. Not always the case of course.
