  1. Endlessly!!! Your ATL team mate has stolen the show on this one. See you are doing what you guys often do and that is assuming, I wanted to replace my 68 plate 106k Ranger in June, that’s out the window now due to a fool of a government’s foolhardy decision. Who said anything about a new single cab pick up !! I said tow vehicle. Can I ask why you and a few others are so against a self employed person or a small business owner getting a break in regards tax bearing in mind to run as self employed or a small business is far from easy in any way shape or form, we certainly don’t get many perks or breaks 🤷‍♂️. From what I see on-here and witnessed during the covid farce I think this disgusting policy will be a big hit with that special kind of envious wanker we seem to see more and more of nowadays. A jealous pricks fantasy this is.
  2. The ethos of Stalin is alive in Northumberland
  3. Town's fears over threat to steelworks' future APPLE.NEWS Up to 2,700 jobs at Scunthorpe's steelworks could go following a British Steel consultation. Meanwhile closer to home 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Madness to put the UK in a position where we cannot make steel. Earlier, British Steel said the blast furnaces were "no longer financially sustainable" due to tough market conditions, the imposition of tariffs and higher environmental costs.
  4. 🤔 Well Mark I’m surprised at that attitude from a socialist this is not Victorian tines you know Hope they have done manual handling training and you have carried out the correct-manual handling risk assessment “ Bonny lad”’ remember those mitigations 👍👍
  5. I’m not sure of any mills nearby but Tegid from supersharp might be a good shout for info. I know some lads in Barmouth who run some 4x4 Lorrie’s/mogs with hiabs who can get stuff out of most places, which might make it easier to take to a mill 🤷‍♂️. A bandsaw would be best but that size log is easily done in a day with a good chainsaw mill set up. I’d not go less than 3” in fact I’d probably go thicker for now especially the centre slab. They ain’t gonna be light to shift mind and will take a good while to dry. Stick a pic of the log up if you get the chance. Good luck
  6. GPS is common already, Old Hitler was an amateur compared to Stalin. Remember you are responsible for their backs mind 👍 I hope it’s not a crew cab transit
  7. Oh well then mark they should be happy, that will pay the bills. Contract guys I presume ?? Yeah I see them doing farm after farm at harvest time too up here. Don’t matter how nice the cab is the pay is still not great and after 18h-24 hrs which they do or more you get pissed off. Bit different to an everyday farmhand tractor op especially on a mixed beef/arable farm. Mind you if you have your citizen smith head on tonight it’s a lost cause, Rich land owning farmers are the enemy of the people I think o is the line.
  8. 😳😳Now here I know for a fact you are miles off Mark probs not even 50%of that, for working crazy hours in all weather day in day out. I know two lads up here on farms nearby and quite frankly I take my hat off to them the graft they put in. They are workers not farm owners, the farm owners I know have it worse ie at it longer day after day. “ Often seen in their vanity van luxurious tax dodge 4x4s that they don’t need of course apparently.
  9. 🤷‍♂️ someone has to do it
  10. He did mention the “ office” at one point, 🤷‍♂️who knows but he’s a lot to say on the activities and tax issues of the self employed or small business owners.
  11. What’s strange is why SP is so obsessed with making a point on a subject that doesn’t effect him, indeed the same obsession he has regarding people’s incomes. The same person who will not divulge any information on his current employment status other than he commutes to the office by train.
  12. Who give a shit what you think or believe, Christ man get a ****************ing life Are you seriously giving any thought to what my pick up is doing on a daily basis 🤷‍♂️. I find myself never off the road SP tying to keep things going, sorting kit, doing maintenance, out buying and delivering etc, I genuinely don’t think you have a clue at the logistics and hours involved in being self employed or trying to set up and run a business from scratch 🤷‍♂️maybe I’m wrong and you are a total “ Alan Sugar” . You really really need to stop and take a look at what you are posting on here or what your priorities are in life.
  13. What a crock of shit Do you runs business SP if not what do you do for a living ?? Just for once answer a straight question
  14. Avoiding tax, I wish 😂😂😂some on here are like turkeys clamouring for Xmas regards this pick up stuff or just talking shite. I’ve a decent pick up why would I buy a new suv 🤷‍♂️you seen the bloody road tax on them 😳😳. Mrs has a 530D which does 50mpg if we need to go long distance. I’m sorted but thanks for your concern.
  15. Once again you show your total ignorance on a subject go and do some research and come back with an electric 4x4 that will tow 3500kg available in the UK 🤡 Ranger hybrid not worth a toss and 75k only built to appease the gullible such as yourself. Currently the only one available in the UK is two wheel drive only limited to towing a ton, you might think that’s a lot being used to sitting on a train but it’s of no use to me whatsoever Honestly SP you should stick to the political threads because it’s blatantly obvious you have you zero real time knowledge or experience on this topic. Just to emphasise the point I looked up 4x4 hire Scotlands prices again it emphasises how utterly ignorant you are on the matter. I can’t wait till you see the next tow vehicle 😂😂😂 6.7L Cummins turbo diesel powered, you can google that particular unit if you are as I suspect rather confused. Two door only so fully vat and tax deductible you will be pleased to know 😂😂👍👍I’ll post a pic up once it’s all sorted in the name of openness SP 👍👍rather than the veil of anonymity you embrace.
  16. 🤔Did you read that I wonder before posting it 🤷‍♂️that’s full on embarrassing stuff SP from what is supposed to be a grown man Still no answer because im a bit busy tonight SP milking the renewables tit. Have a poll 😂😂you reckon eh, Christ what a sad bugger, honestly how many times you been asked what you do for a living and blatantly avoid answering 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️!!. Vanity van 😂😂😂what a joke you are SP. Not that it will make any sense to you but on average I’ll do 120 -150 days offshore. Last year it was a total of 54 days of milling for myself and others plus all firewood deliveries and general to and fro to storage yard maintenance on mill etc etc . You genuinely don’t have a ****************ing clue what you are talking about. Stick to the office and the train. Do those pics look like it’s a working tool or a toy you daft sod. That pick up has had the shit kicked out of it for over 100k miles easy 60% with a trailer on its arse.
  17. Absolute BS from an anonymous man who commutes to the office by train once again making up nonsense.
  18. 😂😂still obsessing over your fantasy salary figures I see.
  19. Your ignorance of most topics you post on is absolutely staggering
  20. lol whilst you support chasing said little man 🤷‍♂️ when have I ever said the massive corporations should not be taxed 🤷‍♂️
  21. Ive not had a salary since I left the armed forces, you just make up these absolute BS numbers day after day on here yet will not allude to what you do other than you commute on a train to the office 🤷‍♂️. I earn every ****************ing penny and have posted enough pics on here of my pick up working that plus the 100k plus mileage would lead anyone other than a total prick to realise it’s not a “ vanity van”. You see that sawmill SP it weighs just under 3400KG it was quite a substantial financial investment I worked long and hard to buy it plus the generator to power it. Getting ****************ed over by left wing tossers with a similar mindset as you is never gonna bring growth to any economy.
  22. Loophole for what mark 🤷‍♂️ Those who took the piss “ a minority imo” will just change to something else, those who need them will be ****************ed over 🤷‍♂️how does that promote growth. I would bet that the tax take they fantasise about getting will be a fraction of what they imagined. All that will happen is people will end up running either more or totally unsuitable vehicles or taking a massive tax hit. 👍👍. They say you get the government you deserve and by god this bunch of clowns are up there with the worst ever. Like I said to Mick its surprising the support for such BS from a what I presumed would be a predominantly self employed membership. 🤷‍♂️
  23. I’d suggest a trip to rural Aberdeenshire SP or for that matter any other rural community then you can open your eyes and see pick ups working for a living. That comment is pure and utter nonsense, you talk about your daily train commute to the office yet are spouting fantasy figures about DC pick ups and referring to them as “ vanity vans”, as for hire in as and when 🤷‍♂️😂 DC pick up hire shop on every corner where you live I take it. It’s classic envy politics with you, as long as someone else is getting shafted you are happy.
  24. 😞 work harder charge more 🤷‍♂️excellent, contradicting totally what you post elsewhere. Those making up this shite have zero business experience and are being chauffeured around in taxpayer funded 4x4 range rovers in the middle of London. That pic sums up labour perfectly, drag down not build up. Hound those who want to get on, whilst doing nothing to help anyone. Tax people with >£10m in assets more, you know, actual wealthy people, not just people who make good coin supporting their family
  25. Absolute garbage You live in fantasy land
