No the main contractor is driving some tubular steel piles to take the new fendering arrangement. More the merrier for Nooie, some of those that came out today are cracking bits of timber.

Pulling some 15m piles today, bottoms are like new, and still a good either 200x200 or 300x300 beam to be had from the worst of it.

Don’t be a tit Mark, you ain’t mystic Meg, I’ve no idea where to start in regards the NHS nor do I want to strike. On that matter we have just rejected the ODIA,s latest pay offer via our union the RMT ( who I have many issues with ) and will be returning to the negotiating table. Would a bunch of divers etc striking in the North Sea if it came to it risk the lives of members of the public ?? No I’d say not, my original post was about that Mark, Doctors Nurses etc if I was to have an accident this morning at work ( 0330 to catch the tide) I’d expect the aforementioned to try and help me out not be on a picket line, like I say when lives are at stake I feel it’s gone too far especially when you see how much is already spent on supporting the whole NHS.

Resources 😳😳😳Ok Mark looking at the current NHS budget and the salaries taken by the multitude of high earners within the cash cow system know as “ hospital trusts” at what point do we start to question its functionality???. Look up Schedule D taxation in the Hmrc bible in particular , and I quite “ Divers and dive supervisors” involved in hydrocarbon exploitation etc on tbe UKCS that will tell you all you need to know. It’s an absolutely disgusting discriminatory piece of tax legislation Mark beyond a shadow of a doubt. [UK] 675 NHS managers earning in excess of £150,000 ahead of tax hike GLOBALPAYROLLASSOCIATION.COM Around 71 trusts increased the number of staff earning in excess of £150k, while 39 cut... There’s some on double that Mark, manage the resources efficiently and spread the wealth further down the pecking order might be a good idea.

I can’t go on the books Mark there is no such thing as an employed on tbe books Diver/Supv in the North Sea hence we operate under sched D taxation. I don’t want to strike,if I’m not happy with a company or a job I talk with my feet bud. It’s served me well so far. How do you equate people wanting more money to “ something must be wrong” we all want more money or to pay less tax eh that’s human nature or to put it another way “greed”

Not me Mark nor did I partake of that clapping on the doorstep bollocks. When people are potentially losing their lives then it’s gone too far. NHS needs a shake up from top to bottom not a blank cheque. You been in A&E or a hospital lately ?? There are more staff than ever Mark, and not always as flat out worked to the bone as they make out. Admittedly the odds are against you with an MI or a Stroke but if there’s no chance of an ambulance then let’s just say to hell with it 🤷♂️Let’s all not bother paying tax or giving a shit. I can’t strike nor did I get a bean during the farce. Unions are enjoying the moment Mark, nearly as much as I enjoyed watching the Sturg depart.

Blue View type Sonar is great kit but has to be literally pointed in the right direction. Hopefully it’s the lady concerned and it can be dealt with for the families sake, will we ever know all the details of how she got into the river( if it turns out to be her) 🤷♂️Who knows.

Searching for anything in zero viz is not easy I’ve found from 30 plus years of experience in the diving game, a body stuck under branches or if it was still mobile, it could easily evade detection until it’s eventually gassed up and floated then been spotted by a member of the public. Id not be critical of the guys doing a finger tip zero viz search along a Jack stay on a muddy river bed as much as I would be of the whole police way of dealing with the publicity side of it and the media. Mind you everyone’s a bloody expert nowadays at everything.

Well there’s a few bits coming out that might be up for grabs on the work at Lochmaddy pier, I’ve put a few of the longer bits aside already those in pic are off the surface measuring 300x350mm. I’d make sure your pals Alaskan has a winch for the sake of your back. I’ve had a wander around the woods you mention on a quiet Sunday.

‘HMRC must stop this tax crackdown pushing people to take their own lives’ APPLE.NEWS The controversial loan charge is the worst legislation ever introduced by Parliament Heartless bullying incompetents, a law unto themselves who are never wrong in my experience, I’ve mentioned my own dealings on here before and know 3 families who lost their homes because of the mess we were left in by the agency and employers etc. Both agency ( Jab Recruitment Ltd) concerned and the employer walked away scot free whilst Hmrc decided to chase the individual workers (48)one by one in our case.
