  1. I hope you have a Jonny handy if your out in public if and when he gets the bullet Mark. I’ve a bad feeling you might have an uncontrolled moment.
  2. Pétition · Tony Blair to have his "Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter" rescinded · Change.org CHNG.IT Tony Blair is to be knighted with the highest possible ranking in the new year honours list, Buckingham Palace has said. Sir Tony... The disgust for this man and what he did is obviously still very strong.
  3. Pretty much sums up the whole disgusting charade for me. A man whom helped destabilise a whole region with MSM backed lies that led to a war which resulted in the deaths of thousands yet has the audacity to call people idiots for being cautious with rapidly developed vaccines is honoured. Probably done more damage to Labour than any politician alive or dead.
  4. On a different note it’s looking like Boris or maybe his fear of the backbench common sense brigade might have knocked back the chance of any more futile restrictions for England. You will grow to appreciate the value of mogg and co 😆, my old platoon commander “Drax “ is another of the rebels who has your best interest at heart Mark 😂😂
  5. Well knowing the Finnish mentality I’d say it was well thought out and implemented bud. 2017 if memory serves me right, caused huge resentment to the taxpayers funding it. To be honest the general vibe I got off people I know over there was it encouraged pure idleness and utterly stifled any form of ambition. Mind you is that not Socialism 🤔
  6. Tried in Finland Mark in a large scale trial. According to friends and family over there it was a disaster 🤷‍♂️
  7. Yeah definitely but it’s strange in as much as when you fire it you still get a good bang but I’ve had the laddie shoot it with me not that far away and it’s not loud at all. But compare it to a good sub ie eley and yeah it’s a fair bit louder.
  8. Jumping in here Stubby, apologies in advance. Not bad in reality, although the shooter tends not to notice the effect as much as someone say maybe 100m away. Good for keeping noise disturbance down big time. But as anyone who’s used moderators will know even with 22 subs it’s not like the movies.
  9. Decent job for this time of year, 4 days in the dry on a nice level floor and a forklift to do most of the heavy lifting. Variety of hardwoods that the owner wanted milling rather than processing for firewood. Spent a bit of time fitting some decent LED lights recently which for not a lot of outlay have proven to be very handy. Last two pics are day 2 on the same job, cutting 1.1m wide slabs pretty much maxing out the mill.
  10. Well good luck with it all 👍, some hefty waiting lists for kit at moment too.
  11. Which mill you going for Les ?.
  12. Aren’t we all 🤔 Joking aside I’d have thought right now post the recent weather we’ve experienced would be a good time to source stuff. Thousands of trees down in Aberdeenshire, not sure how bad it got down your way. Trigger Andy might spot this and he is pretty sharp at sniffing out Oak.
  13. Cash is king its as simple as that.
  14. I looked at the 3 phase option from Trakmet and tried to justify it or come up with a solution to transporting a generator around with the mill. I guess a lot depends on wether or not the mill is gonna be static or mobile and what vehicles you already have etc. Cost of fuel is brutal right now and the whole red diesel saga is never far away. The price for the generator is good mind as long as it’s a decent make and not huge hrs.
  15. Star Hobson trial: woman guilty of murdering girlfriend’s toddler APPLE.NEWS A woman has been convicted of murdering her girlfriend’s 16-month-old toddler after abusing her for months, despite five... Sadly an all too often occurrence.
  16. Been there done that 🤷‍♂️
  17. Thompson timber in Dunfermline used to do courses Andy
  18. Pro Hunt ?? I hope that does not refer to my post ??. I stated right at the beginning that I was indifferent to hunting but to be honest it’s that emotive a subject the fence is the safest place to be.
  19. Like a lot of the anti hunting policies unfortunately. I guess they would rather see the wholesale indiscriminate destruction of a particular animal than stomach what they see as toffs having a day out. I’m indifferent to fox hunting but as has been said before on this topic it is not all gentry out there, my sister rode regularly with hunts in Northumberland and is firmly working class but also an outstanding horsewomen, her take on it was they hardly saw a fox 9 times out of ten. Fast forward to the situation we have now with affordable night vision and thermal imaging systems and ever more efficient flat shooting rounds and foxes are being culled in record numbers. Darkness no longer offers any cover unfortunately. I’ve been out myself with NV on a moderated 223 and to be honest it’s no longer a challenge or about fieldcraft etc. Ok a job has to be done sometimes but the reality is for many it’s about hi tech ego boosted high number hauls on a nightly basis. 🤷‍♂️A very emotive subject for sure.
  20. Well the cat came back with yet another fresh kill mouse last night, not sure how that stacks up !!. Mind you she does tend to eat what she kills 🤷‍♂️
  21. J I’ve pretty much came to that conclusion now, no more of these petty destructive restrictions, life’s too short to have some jobsworth politician and ego inflated scientists literally having us dance to this bullshit tune. It’s all just way way too convenient quite frankly , the public has basically had enough of this, cop 26 etc is over so let’s just refocus on covid 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️Hey presto the worst ever variant with 2 whole cases so far and that’s enough to reintroduce restrictions. They genuinely must think the masses will swallow any old shit.
  22. Howling Gale now. Trees down on many roads and structural damage. Power has been off since 1600. Running off the generator now Thankfully log burner is doing its thing and hobs run on propane 👍.
