  1. It’s not about being happy about it it’s more that as I’ve stated within the circle of peoples I mix in most have had an utter belly full of politicians and MSM headlines. As I also said I wish we had a decent opposition or indeed even a few good tories.
  2. I mix with a pretty broad base of people Mark, most were fed up with the covid stupidity long ago. If you really were that naive and played those rules by the book then I’m not surprised you are annoyed. Mind you I don’t think for a minute that’s the case. I will agree and say that the current bunch of politicians of all parties are undoubtedly some of the worst I’ve seen in my lifetime.
  3. And !! Mick my point is most people have zero respect for most politicians of any party at the minute, I really wish we had a valid opposition or better still some decent tories, the rules were utter utter stupidity and quite frankly most I know pretty much ignored them especially after the initial lockdown. If those who stuck rigidly to them are now up in arms then more fool them. To be honest I’d have thought the Met would of had far more serious things to be getting on with.
  4. You know Mark most people I talk to don’t give a shit bud, they are more concerned with the reality of the current struggle to make ends meet than this crap. As for Labour stop whining and convince me you can do better because the constant dripping about the party on the other side is impressing no one. let’s face it we all broke the utterly ridiculous pointless rules didn’t we !!, I know I certainly did and would again.
  5. UK loses out as work on trio of giant floating wind projects falls to Lamprell WWW.ENERGYVOICE.COM Work on a trio of giant floating wind projects off UK waters is to go to Lamprell, the fabricator based in the United Arab... Rather than governments either side of the border worrying about trans conversion or 16 yr olds voting maybe we should be looking at the reason this is happening time after time. Absolutely disgraceful.
  6. I’d say it is an animal loving country, the fact that the media choose not to report on this is more likely to be indicative of the money involved in horse racing and the associated gambling not to mention the people involved in it.
  7. Scotland to become first part of UK to allow 16 and 17-year-olds to enter Parliament APPLE.NEWS The plan would allow under-18s to become MSPs at the next Scottish Parliament election in 2026 Well I hope they have more sense than I did at 16-17 🤷‍♂️. Or maybe that’s just what the SNP are banking on, be careful what you wish for may turn out to be a prophetic saying what with the power of social media etc.
  8. Not sure what it is Eggs but if I’m too far away from the coast I really can’t stand it. Tried living inland and in a town before and hated every minute of it. Being at the beach or even working at sea etc just feels right, each to their own mind. Northumberland has both stunning countryside including woodlands and amazing coastlines. That and generally pretty decent people too.
  9. I’d move back to Alnwick/Northumberland in a heartbeat if I had my way, rural Aberdeenshire is the price of keeping the Mrs sweet. Beautiful coastline ( apart from the mine waste damage further south)and spent many happy carefree days at Cresswell beach with the kids, swimming and Winkle picking etc.
  10. Revealed: Rishi Sunak ‘listed in tax haven as trust beneficiary’ while chancellor APPLE.NEWS Exclusive: Chancellor noted in documents related to his wife’s finances from Cayman and British Virgin islands in 2020, say... Looking very like the press are on the hunt, I wonder whom is wanting little Rishi Wisdom out of the loop.
  11. Where do the moonbat species fit in ??
  12. Maybe so Andy but it’s an almighty piss take none-the less bud, especially as you know to your cost how joe average guy on the street whom tries to get on gets humped. Will her husband and family be benefiting from this 🤷‍♂️Absolutely yes. Sadly the covid hysteria induced free for all in regards spending has just given them the green light to tax people more and more. Unless of course you know a few cracking loopholes.
  13. Nope not at all but it’s still surely at the minimum a conflict of interest. I’m no socialist in any way shape or form but quite frankly to hold the position he does whilst having a wife whom benefits from that nice little loophole is a joke.
  14. You don’t see even a slight conflict of interest Mick seeing the current role her husband plays in government !!. It’s yet another loophole that is there for the benefit of a tiny few. Mind you there’s been a succession of governments that have been drawn in by Indian money for a long time now.
  15. Boris Johnson news - live: Labour demands explanation as Rishi Sunak’s wife defends non-dom tax status APPLE.NEWS Most people who live in the UK are required to pay tax on all their income, irrespective of its source Well Mark J, like I say they are all the bloody same. The reality is it doesn’t matter what party is in power politicians with the odd notable exception are laughing at us half the time, the last two years in particular have proven how gullible the masses can be.
  16. I recently helped out one of the Norwegian crane ops on a vessel I was on to source some Barnes copper bullet heads here in the UK for reloading as like you say due to recent legislation etc banning lead non lead reloading components have become virtually impossible to get. Needless to say he didn’t have a high opinion of the government department responsible.
  17. I wish my place looked as tidy as this 😳
  18. Not a cat in hells chance that’s a legit ad that machine is min 10k below what it’s worth. The amount of scams involving plant and machinery is off the scale at the minute. Defo a time to be careful.
  19. That would be a very effective and marketable combination.
  20. £45-50per hr plus bands is fair enough. Totally understand the benefits of being able to turn your hand to multiple things to make a crust.
  21. There’s a middle ground I’d say, £350 is way too cheap for a man and woodmizer for a day, £635 is on the upper end of things but justifiable if the mill is top of the range high production eqpt. I can think of more enjoyable things to do for a day, admittedly it does have its plus points but can also be bloody hard and frustrating graft.
  22. Labour staff 'gagged' over sexual harassment claims APPLE.NEWS Two former Labour staff were asked to sign confidentiality agreements after bringing harassment complaints against a senior... All the same Mark
  23. The tracking is fiddly rather than difficult to set, the supplied manual is good and explains it well enough. 37s on a 130 worked really well for me.
  24. Is that another way of saying she’s a total hypocrite
