  1. Richard Grosvener Plunkett Ernle Earle Drax, Yeah 2nd battalion 2 company recce plt for most of my time. Welly barracks to Otterburn in series 3 ffr petrols kitted as per pic is one of my scarred in Land Rover memories, the drive through London was always a laugh but it pissed down the entire journey thereafter. In fact if I remember rightly it pissed down every day we were at Otterburn as well.
  2. As an ex squaddie whom started off on series 3 21/4 petrols then swapped to the first generation of army NA 90s and 110s, then whom for some reason bought an ex welsh water 110 hardtop once in civvy street I’m scarred for life with the Land Rover experience. My dream truck would be a Ram with a 5.9 Cummins but in RHD, don’t think I could live with the LHD thing on a day to day basis.
  3. Well I was in Wellington barracks for a while but that’s as far as it’s ever went 😂
  4. I’d agree with that in some respects for sure but I’ve owned a good few vehicles over the years and thankfully never lived south of Newcastle, without a doubt these two rangers have the poorest standard of coatings on the chassis and underbody areas of anything I’ve ever had previously. Sump pan rusted out in 58k or 31/2 years 🤮. I was under the ramps today and picking out bits of mig wire which says a lot about qc at the plants in South Africa.
  5. Running a 68 plate 3.2 wildtrack, FMDSH and currently at 58k. My first ranger wildtrack (2014) suffered from a poor finish on the chassis and most of the underside components etc but this newer model is worse. I’ve noticed today that the sump pan is corroded to such an extent it is leaking oil, the area around the sump plug is what’s affected the worst. Last main dealer service a couple of months ago and nothing was reported then. Now out of warranty so I’m heading down the route of dealing with Ford customer device 🙄. Things are not looking good what with Ford closing a lot of the smaller outlets and planning on a lesser number of bigger dealers, I’ve lost the two within 50 mile of me. I know the bloody obsession with salt on UK roads is a big part of the problem but I’d like to think that I’d get more than 58k out of a sump pan.
  6. It was more the 3.9million pie I was referring too.
  7. Fatcat boss who quit in row over £3.9m pay rehired on massive £3,000 a day - Mirror Online WWW.MIRROR.CO.UK EXCLUSIVE Mike Betts, 59, left Motability Operations, which provides cars to disabled people, amid anger at his £1.7million... I’d like a slice of that pie 🥧
  8. The DLA free car lunacy is an industry of its own. Has to be one of the most abused parts of our healthcare set up by far. I know of 5-6 people running them, one a family member whom are genuinely taking the piss.
  9. No gripe bud they are shit 🤷‍♂️Plain and simple that’s it. I know about Serco Mark,my sister is currently being hounded to swap over from an old HMP contract to a new serco deal, like my own experience with the RMT she is finding her union utterly hopeless.
  10. Dear me Mark are you on your bloody period this week. They are not my new party as well you know. Prescriptions should be free for those whom genuinely need them, those whom can afford too should pay and i include myself in that category. The biggest beneficiary from free prescriptions are the drug companies themselves. On the other side of the coin you may not be aware of the current number of cottage hospital closures currently being forced through up here by the SNP !!. You like many others looking in think Scotland is some kind of SNP managed socialist paradise, in reality it’s far far from that up here. As I keep saying the pr machine behind the current government and a very cooperative media make for a totally biased view.
  11. I’m sure you do but the whole free uni for all lie in Scotland is what I’m on about. Not how or what you did or paid for. It’s yet another bit of good work by the SNP pr team.
  12. The excellent system you describe Mark is not actually that at all, the free places are getting less year after year bud. The universities make the money from overseas paying students hence the numbers of those places have increased. Do some research on it Mark it’s an eye opener. No the ones whom did go went down in Newcastle so have the debt to go with it.
  13. No not at all it’s just the back and forth with you yesterday was reminiscent of me trying to deal with the kids of mine whom did attend university. Ive no problem with people being educated to the extent of obtaining a degree although I don’t think it’s for everyone and the whole Blair era push for it has turned out to be another of his utter F Ups.
  14. Why are child hepatitis cases rising in the UK? What experts say could have caused the increase in infections APPLE.NEWS The UK Health Security Agency announced it had identified a further 34 cases on Thursday, in addition to the 74 reported...
  15. You’ve got a degree have you not Mark ?
  16. You surprise me Mark you talk the talk all social justice and decency etc yet when something is put up about a party that at first glance for a change seems to be promoting decency, family values, good education for kids, observing and respecting democratic decisions etc etc you turn on the smug pseudo left wing radical bollocks. One things for sure your not Labour in the traditional sense at all Mark in any way shape or form.
  17. Better those than this utter clown you got a hard on over Mark.
  18. Now now Mark. Who rattled your cage, you are always going on about politics and the Tories as I do about the SNP, I thought they spoke a lot of sense and espoused some decent traditional family values as opposed to all that lgbt minority shite.
  19. Selfishness is not a nice trait citizen smith. At least they are not promoting all this trans and lgbtq+etc etc etc bollocks like old starmer is. It’s not a case of floating my boat it’s more they are speaking common sense. If that makes them religious nutters in your eyes then so be it. Six kids and not a penny taken off anyone Mark from day one, unlike the situation most families would find themselves in under the utopian all powerful anything goes nanny state vision labour and the snp etc aspire to create.
  20. Really ?? religious zealot I’m not mark, most of what they are saying is absolute common sense in particular the stuff regards kids education etc. Far more down to earth and in touch with people’s views than the woke shit that’s often forced upon the majority by the vociferous minority.
  21. https://scottishfamily.org/ Wondering what the catch is here!!, Mark J. Not sure of them at the minute but in reality I can’t see much I’d disagree with.
  22. UK considering scrapping plans for speed limiters in cars to avoid EU ‘mentality’ APPLE.NEWS ‘I don’t care what the EU does anymore’, says Jacob Rees-Mogg – as he hints at cabinet row over safety devices A bit of common sense hopefully
  23. 👍 got two of exactly the same sitting waiting, just need the time to sort it all out.
  24. A scandal worse than thalidomide APPLE.NEWS The moment her newborn son Sebastian was handed to her, Catherine McNamara knew something was terribly wrong. His... A tragic tale for sure, might be worth a read for some whom seem have over the past 2 years shown absolute trust and belief in the pharmaceutical industry.
  25. Hats off to you bud, I’ve read a few bits about the diesel wrecking the rubber hence stayed clear of it, but might still go for it to work on outside of band via a felt pad and drip system, I watch the cooks videos a lot and yeah very knowledgeable god fearing southerners 👍. The cleaning systems I’m looking at are a combination of cooks and the pulse spray lube mizer set up etc. The components including high density felt etc are all here it’s just seems there’s never enough time to get it all sorted.
