  1. You stated “ you keep going on “ never mind the or not eggs please point out where I’d previously used that phrase or even mentioned the word idle ?? You not me attempted to affix the word idle to a particular group !! Now you are demanding answers to a question you’ve manufactured from nothing.
  2. Ok please point out to me where I have kept going on about or indeed used that phrase before or even mentioned an alternative taxation formula ??. Andy is a grown man, what he does is his business not mine. Those whom do not want to sacrifice time, money and energy educating or training themselves up or working away from home, offshore or overseas etc for long periods are often as not the most vociferous in regards wanting the so called rich taxed heavily. I stand by what I say in as much as a flat rate for all would incentives people far more than the current shit set up. An example of the total bollocks we have to contend with is if you are a grossly overweight bone idle bugger or a junkie and apparently can’t work the state will pay you to sit at home, on the other hand graft like hell and consequently hit the figure conjured up to fleece the majority in the middle and the state will stick its hand out for at least 50% of your wage. Regarding the 232 days I can assure you I work a lot more than that year in year our.
  3. First 12k tax free and everyone without fail 25% after that no exceptions or excuses. Simples 👍. Huge incentive to work and try and get on. OK I know will never happen, mainly due to the outrage of the idle.
  4. I’ve no time for the ridiculous “ tax the rich “ many of whom are not rich at all in reality” and give to the poor socialist crap. Give people an incentive to work and they will, penalise them for ambition and success and the outcome is so so predictable.
  5. Citizen smith Dianne Abbot politics , not interested bud.
  6. I’m a self employed contractor but taxed under sched D arrangements. I don’t do hours as such but wether others will benefit 🤷‍♂️ who knows. I do know I’m not alone in taking the foot off the pedal as such. Like I’ve stated before tax take will go down if you keep bumping up the rates, as those fools in the SNP have realised.
  7. Greed and envy 🤷‍♂️ The simplest emotion to plant. I did not receive a single penny from any source during the farce, does that mean I should pay back nothing to dig us out the hole it put us in🤔
  8. Covid expected to cost Britain £372bn, says National Audit Office | Coronavirus | The Guardian AMP-THEGUARDIAN-COM.CDN.AMPPROJECT.ORG The reason we are heading towards a period of taxation equivalent to post WW2 is plain and simple. Yet the bickering over trivial bollocks is so easy to initiate. Back to the original the question in the post !! 🤔I can’t speak for others but as I’ve stated I have cut back on time away from home ( to the point right now of taking myself out of the loop work wise for on the books paye gigs up to April) and chasing more and more work offshore or overseas, 100% solely due to the amount of taxation above a certain ( not massive ) figure. I’m not wealthy or living in a rent or mortgage free property or anywhere near retirement age but there comes a point when you do wonder is it worth it ??.
  9. To convenient J I look at it in very simple terms ie what the situation was pre and post covid measures 🤷‍♂️For me it’s utterly obvious we have endured higher oil prices per barrel than this for starters and brexit was not yesterday, yet here we are not surprisingly after printing and giving away billions in a right old mess I’ll be the first to admit politicians of all parties at min are generally an uninspiring self obsessed bunch with a few notable exceptions.
  10. We’re all now paying the terrible price for lockdown WWW.TELEGRAPH.CO.UK An historic failure of government during the pandemic set a ticking time-bomb not just under the... I couldn’t agree more with the comment made on LI Those who clamoured for it and bought into the bullshit should hang their heads in shame.
  11. Two million face paying 60pc income tax APPLE.NEWS Anncouncement comes as the top rate threshold is reduced Regardless of what anyone says any system of taxation that results in 60% of a persons income beyond a certain point being taken by the state is utterly flawed. Long term it will do nothing but reduce tax take. I listened to Hunt during his statement and did wonder about the unimaginative dull logic of his attempts at reducing inflation and this insane obsession with GDP and growth.
  12. It’s not even at the 100k plus levels that this mentality is starting to prevail. Up here in Scotland you hit the 41% bracket at just over 43k stick on 9% NI and half your wage is allocated to the fools to squander. Throw in a few huge visuals over the past couple of years emphasising the utter incompetence of governments ie asylum seekers in hotels, furlough , lockdowns, constant net zero drivel, vaccine spending etc etc and all of a sudden you hit a point where lads ( especially self employed/freelance such as myself) are thinking “ bollocks to this” . I know several including myself who this year hit a certain point and took a step back, probs at a cost of 15-30k ish per man to the Hmrc. The decision was taken to spend more time with families etc rather than keep working. The tax take up here has actually fallen since Sturgeon upped the 40% rate to 41% and dropped the level at which it kicks in to 43k. As Andy says it is nothing more than the politics of greed and envy at play. What we will see I think is the gradual realisation that there is a limit to how far you can squeeze those with the “ broadest shoulders”. I myself having just concluded a 4 year hugely expensive and stressful Hmrc investigation will never ever go back to the chasing 250 days a year offshore mentality and consequential tax bills, an own goal by Hmrc of which they are scoring many that I know of first hand.
  13. 2 years of utter self destruction and insanity perhaps. Wholeheartedly supported, indeed more was demanded most of the time by all those of the opposition parties now crying about the measures required to pay for it 😢.
  14. Higher taxes look to be here to stay, says IFS APPLE.NEWS The Institute for Fiscal Studies warns households are in for a "long, hard, unpleasant journey". 🤔
  15. Next time you hear a politician lying about renewables and thousands of green jobs just remember the reality is totally different from the prepared bullshit script they spout. The sheer fact we are an island nation should be enough for anyone with an ounce of common sense to see the benefit of a strong merchant fleet.
  16. Had mine in and chassis replaced, they swapped out a good few components/ brackets and fitted a new exhaust at the same time. The remainder was coated with a heavy type of underseal. Total time it was with them was 13days, 22 plate Ranger wildtrack was dropped off as a replacement when they collected mine “ sadly not the new v6 model”
  17. Hard to say or give specifics at this stage but my gut feeling is that it won’t go unanswered. In particular with it being the Poles.
  18. Poles hate the Russians with a passion, I’d say there will be some form of a reaction.
  19. It was just thrown in on ITV news as a breaking story.
  20. Russian missiles land in NATO state Poland on Ukraine border killing at least two | World | News | Express.co.uk WWW.EXPRESS.CO.UK The Prime Minister of Poland has called an emergency meeting following the explosion. Accident or not the potential for escalation is there.
  21. Private companies that provide accommodation for asylum seekers see profits DOUBLE to £110m WWW.DAILYMAIL.CO.UK Private companies that provide accommodation for asylum seekers have seen their profits increase... Serco, Mears win £2.9 billion refugee housing contracts in Britain | Reuters WWW.REUTERS.COM Serco and Mears have won contracts totalling 2.9 billion pounds from the British...
  22. This caller 'resents' refugees that are being given 'three meals a day' and 'pocket money' APPLE.NEWS This caller tells Andrew Castle that he 'resents' the refugees being given these amenities. 🤷‍♂️ behind much of this lies profit for the so called contractors
  23. Mark I was in Glasgow a few weeks back and apart from the utter squalor of the place the one thing that stood out was the amount of immigrants in particular Sub Saharan African, large gangs hanging around and contributing zero to our society. This is not the multi cultural paradise we are told, it’s more like a multi racial cesspit. What really bothered me was the way they behaved when my 13 year old daughter was with me, you didn’t need to speak whatever language it was to get the undertones of what was being said or what the leering was triggered by. God knows how young women feel like when alone. Something needs to be done sharpish and to hell with pc or what the bloody EU thinks.
