100% correct and pretty much my view. I tend to agree, whilst the US has picked up the slack and Trump gets slated the fact of the matter is the western NATO countries with the exception of a couple of members have gutted their armed forces to the point that they are virtually useless. The UK in particular has huge problems at the minute, whilst we have politicians grandstanding about “ the coalition of the willing” the reality is we couldn’t even begin to defend our own country never mind venture farther afield.
