  1. The critical cog in Putin's machine and how British firms help to keep Russian gas flowing into Europe APPLE.NEWS This is the story of how an obscure company based in an office block on a quiet street in Glasgow... One of the consequences of shutting down your own domestic fossil fuel industries is surely going to be a reliance on others. Not just for LNG but Coal, Oil etc etc. I look forward to one of our resident multi disciplined experts posting a link to a supplier/producer of wind or renewables generated/derived grease, oil, lubricants or bearings etc etc .
  2. When the article contains the standard climate change end of the world message my interest just vanishes. Especially if it’s promoted by members renowned for having a loose grip on the truth.
  3. What platform/vessel you on ?? You might bump into Andy. I’ll be back out myself shortly in UK sector doing a IRM project for Ithaca. West of Shetland depth ?? vs depth off Angola or Brazil etc etc ?? The technology is there but we don’t have the balls or common sense like the Norwegians.
  4. I that case you will know fine well we are a ways off that situation yet. And what is the more sensible approach I ask. You answered really when you said “ pragmatic last gasp”
  5. Alternatively look at the current Norwegian attitude 🤷‍♂️drill drill drill
  6. Ok Mark good to seeyou are in a better fettle today. Have you heard the recording going around ?. supposedly Starmer slating Liverpool
  7. It would seem Starmer ain’t a Liverpool fan 🤔AI ??
  8. Labour to block 'Nimby' councils from halting new homes on green belt APPLE.NEWS If Labour wins, Angela Rayner would unveil a radical new housebuilding programme within... A sign of the future I guess, big government with planning and business expertise from Angela and co.
  9. 😳I’d not thought of it like that 😂
  10. Starmer stated today one of first things they are going to do is conduct a “ strategic” review of defence spending 😳🤷‍♂️ Hopefully that’s not political speak for more bloody cuts to the forces. When it comes to Labour I think people need to be really really careful what they wish for, a massive majority will be an utter catastrophe for this country.

Gareth as I’ve said before I still have the original consultation paperwork where they assured “ no changes to noise levels ” , now they are swaying to acceptable etc etc. I might find the address of the CEO and get a couple of marshal amps in the Ranger and play some white noise outside his house nonstop, I somehow think it would be dealt with quicker than what we are experiencing up here. But as you have seen from the reaction of some on here, they have the gullible fooled into believing they are doing it for net zero and to save the planet.

First bit of correspondence in ten months from SSEN. Basically a crock of shit full of corporate waffle and inaccuracies.

Thurso in winter is not I’d think the ideal place for a solar panel set up.
  14. You’d have to ask what the 33% were actually watching. I did sit through the first 30mins and as much as I utterly detest his politics, as someone who is witnessing my own mothers decline due to Dementia i did actually feel pity for him. The people rolling him out should be ashamed.
  15. Joe Biden: Could the Democrats replace him as US election nominee and how might that work? APPLE.NEWS Joe Biden's stumbling performance in the US presidential debate has sparked alarm among Democrats... That didn’t take long, it will be interesting to see where this goes or if it gains traction.
  16. 'Unmitigated disaster' for Biden in TV debate with Trump - as he faces calls from Democrats to step aside APPLE.NEWS Joe Biden and Donald Trump have faced off in the first debate in the 2024 presidential election... 🤔🤷‍♂️
  17. 60kva generator will be fixed permanently. 5th wheel will be gone. As I said it was the tester who said it would need to be tested as wheeled plant next time once he knew what was gonna happen to it. Hardest thing is it’s e mails and no voice or person to talk to. It’s no wonder people just say to hell with it and give up.
  18. Done it Bob Had to resubmit with the online version as it came in part way through the process. The e mails are from 2 different individuals at HGV TECH at VOSA, same questions about 3 times now. Tbey can’t seem ti get there are no modifications to the chassis, the wheelbase or the abs braking system etc
  19. Little update on the saga, currently playing e mail ping pong with vosa answering the same questions repeatedly. The fact there have been no structural chassis modifications seems to be something they can’t come to terms with. All online now, not even an option to talk to someones. Talk about stopping or putting obstacles in front of small businesses trying to get on.
  20. Joking aside throwing the racist/nazi one into the mix is easiest of cards to play.
  21. Don’t worry I won’t ask for an example, that’s a proper exhausting process with you guys. Anyway on the lighter note that Mick has injected. Peds you could take the new role of Guardian of Arbtalk, mind you you will have to be impartial going forward.
  22. Not so much of the Scottish Socialist stuff 😡
  23. Racist, hateful and ridiculous 🤔 Examples please
  24. lol moved on successfully 😂 Guys that’s two of you couldn’t stop yourselves already. Nice to see the racist card thrown about again, laughable in reality but hey ho. SP seeing as you brought it up you know you made allegations you could not prove. I’ll say it again if you don’t like or agree then have the self control to not reply. I generally have the same 4 biting at my heels so I guess we are all at fault. 2 posts 2 replies 😞😜
  25. Then stop replying 42 🤷‍♂️it takes two or in you lots case 3 or 4 to tango. You guys are relentless with anything I post and even if I’m off there’s the wise cracks 🤷‍♂️
