If you read back a few posts I mentioned the other day that the tragedy of this as is often the case that the innocents on the ground will suffer because of the actions of politicians so I’m neither blind nor immune to the suffering of the civilians out there. Mark you can be pro Palestinian as much as you want bud, the truth is Israel is surrounded by states that want to see it erased off the map, I’d say they will fight every time now rather than meekly accept annihilation. if you have the answers to that problem then you are a wise man.

😂😂😂 Mark you need to fold up your Palestinian flag and calm down mate. Those guys in that van were illegally staying in the UK and have been for years, due process has been done end of story. The people in that crowd are not my comrades Mark and never will be, the guys I’ve soldiered and worked with are what I’d call comrades, decent hard working tax paying people.

No not at all read the reply to mark, 99% of the time I’ll back the police. Ex forces, FAC holder for 28 years with a clean record etc etc ive no gripe with the police or authority, I think Mark is getting his citizen smith head on ref the illegals in Glasgow.

I’m pointing out the fact the FM of Scotland and the justice secretary are supporting mob rule when a legitimate operation ( After a lengthy and legal process) is being carried out. That is totally and utterly different to often ridiculous restrictions put in place by over zealous power hungry politicians to supposedly deal with covid. I’ve upheld the law and played by the rules all my life bud. Please try not to write in Geordie it looks and sounds absolutely stupid. Just an afterthought Mark I think you’ll find the good people of the NE will not agree with you when it comes to illegal immigrants being allowed to stay when due process has been carried out, hence Labour and its left wing socialist elite in London are progressively alienating more and more normal decent tax paying working class people.

How on earth do you expect to see parity of numbers ??. Israel is so well equipped Hamas know they will take a beating but the losses will trigger the exact reaction you provided. The sad thing about this as is always the case it will be civilians that will take the brunt not politicians.

Out of respect mainly just as was the case of the B17 I mentioned earlier, if it can be positively identified and then confirmed lives were lost in a plane then certain steps are put in place, That particular site was designated as a war grave and a wreath was laid by US representatives. If we get confirmation of the type lost here I’ll update the post.

Thanks for that, few onboard had suggested something similar with the detentes but the shape at the end is throwing most. I did a job a couple of years ago off Belgian coast and what turned out to be a B17g was identified on the cable route, we ended up with a guy onboard whom had a complete parts manual for that model and was able to confirm the identity using a retaining ring we recovered from the port wing landing lights made from non ferrous material which had survived pretty much in as new condition.

?? I presume you mean Montgomery It’s easy with the benefit of hindsight to be critical and the armchair strategists have poured scorn over many battles of that period. I believe Miles Dempsey was the original architect of the plan and whilst it may not have given the results it was planned to it did indeed tie up a huge part of the high quality formations in the field opposing allied forces. Anyway as an aside my grandad was in Guards Armoured during that period and survived that and being a regular infantryman in the BEF including evacuation at Dunkirk. Up until his death he wouldn’t hear a bad word said about Montgomery, his men certainly thought highly of him.
