  1. Took a chance on a piece of elm today, few soft spots in centre but nothing major. last pic is the back Mark I promise it won’t go in firewood pile 👍👍
  2. Look up diver magnets, commonly used by commercial divers inshore and offshore to assist with staying in position on metal structures especially flat bottomed tankers etc. Anything from 50KG to 2000kg if you have the urge.
  3. Maajid Nawaz scrutinises 'dangerous' proposed Policing Bill APPLE.NEWS Priti Patel is conducting a 'power grab' by looking to pass legislation which would largely criminalise... Power and control is addictive 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️So it seems it’s all well and good to keep using covid as an excuse but as is plain here this is nothing more than wanting to hang onto and create more and more powers.
  4. Ageing British tanks leave soldiers at risk, report warns APPLE.NEWS In a new report, the British Army's efforts to modernise its ageing fleet of armoured vehicles are... Absolute disgrace the amount of cost cutting by successive governments year after year. No one seems to learn the lessons of history.
  5. Great mix of old and new, brought up working horses from an early age in some with hindsight pretty harsh conditions. Hats off to the guy whom trained the pair in the video as getting them to stand that quietly whilst being loaded ain’t as simple as it looks.
  6. Case in point !! Really !! That was a fair request I thought, I was genuinely busy 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. Seeing as you do like a question I threw a bit of humour in at the end to avoid a can you explain x y and z session. You could possibly do with lightening up a bit bud. Troll is well up there with the likes of Woke and New Normal in the scale of stupid PC bullshit words as far as I’m concerned. If you want a private conversation PM the guy.
  7. Being nursed with a few tanks cross cutting, he’s got a good sized old Oak that’s probs gonna have to come down next to his house so probably a good opportunity to christen it.
  8. There’s no trolls as you put it on here in reality. People disagree, often the most vociferous are the pro lockdown and restrictions advocates, views are aired maybe a tad forcefully at times. You have theories on the food industry that follow the same pattern that some have on pharmaceuticals and Covid 🤷‍♂️ Yet those are your views and you are entitled to them, who am I to call you a conspiracy nut job. As for test and trace yep it’s truly mind boggling how expensive it is, along with all the other insanity that has ran hand in hand with Covid. I see the figures for big business are starting to come in now for 20-21 RollsRoyce 4 billion loss for example. I do think we are only just starting to see the true cost of this whole thing. As before as much as you do love a question or two or three or four don’t ask me to explain any further as I’m busy.
  9. Bill for coronavirus support tops £400bn as Rishi Sunak says UK will be paying for decades to come APPLE.NEWS Taxes to be at ‘highest sustained level in history’, warn experts
  10. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ I’m sure many will have seen similar but it’s a first for me.
  11. Total oddball piece, shame it wasn’t found a while back but still interesting.
  12. Cracking day rate that 👍
  13. I’d be over the moon to have a loader like that instead of winching up ramps on your own 🤷‍♂️. Good days output that Andy 👍👍
  14. I’ve have the mini mill as per first pic and to be honest it’s very easy to go off plumb, I’d say the second pic of the Haddon type thing would be more stable and probs give a more accurate cut. I was doing 9” cuts in Douglas using a 461 with a 20” bar over 4.8m and it was not easy going, ended up rigging a winch on end of slabs to pull the set up forward.
  15. My youngest two are unfortunately still off up here thanks to Sturgeon just wanting to be different Mark but I can tell you they are looking forward to going back big time. Even the SAGE advisory people are saying virtually zero risk involved.
  16. Super spreading has to be one of the most naff pathetic hysterical phrases to come out of this whole saga.
  17. Just read a news article the minister concerned has back peddled and now says you dont have to isolate 🤷‍♂️, if I was this shit at my job I’d be out in my arse pronto 😡😡
  18. I’d start by cutting the root plate away and see if there is anything going on inside. Recently cut some spalted Beech and I could have sold it 2-3 times over. Good size stick, might be giving a 661 a bit much to do, 881 probs the best option 👍
  19. School pupils who test positive must isolate even if they test negative later on APPLE.NEWS Secondary school pupils will start taking rapid 'lateral flow' coronavirus tests from today. If... Pure and utter stupidity. If it’s proven to be a false positive why on earth would a whole household still be expected to isolate for 10 days. Not hard to see why people are pretty much paying lip service to guidance when there is zero common sense or logic involved.
  20. David Gambo, Really decent guy. My spelling of the second name may be wrong mind. Horses all carried the name Bishwell.
  21. Too quick to flag up anything that’s not PC or ultra Woke as far right. You’d have thought someone would have pointed out how bloody stupid it reads right from the get go ie a far right proposal !!.
  22. Swiss look set to approve ban on facial coverings APPLE.NEWS A far-right proposal to ban facial coverings in Switzerland headed towards a narrow victory in a... Far right 🤷‍♂️. Guess that means the majority of Swiss are far right. Cant help but admire them for having guts to be honest rather than ultra PC.
  23. Not so nice on the eye and unfortunately had to be done with the 880 😖. Yet to mill the last bit of Elm but hoping for some decent boards out of it.
