I only came across his work a month back, watching one of his vids a couple of weeks back for the first time it was like watching light pour through the darkness.. The mans a complete genius... I think I might of watched about twenty hrs of of his work over the last couple of weeks..... maybe more than that..

Theres nothing wrong with the add if you see it for it is.. An add for a kids hoodie... The white self loathing Marxist left have told us its racist and we, without ever questioning their credentials have taken them at their word.. For this add to be racist it would presume that we are racist.. weres the fking evidence?..... theres is none.. I suppose what I am saying is thoughts can come into existence without an appeal to predeterminismn.. thus your following actions are not tied to what predetermined that thought... So free will of sorts..

No, thoughts can have no cause.. thought can just be. no need for a cause... which is not to say that all thoughts come out of thin air, but that they can....

Well I'll think on that in the next hr, I've just had a thought... if, I'm right.. then it answers another question thats been puzzling me for decades.. it proves the Universe had no cause... well hints at it at least!!!

Oh, I believe it does.. if the universe came into existence without need of a cause then not everything needs to have a cause to produce an effect... The human mind might act in the same way, we imagine cause, but we can't know that.. Just as the universe has no cause, so to the thoughts we produce may as easily have no cause..

Just skimmed over an article by Russle.. heres an interesting snippet that seems to align with what I've been puzzling over... more than likely why I mention the universe having a cause.. When a man does not himself know why he acted as he did, we may search his unconscious for a cause, but it never occurs to us that there may have been no cause.

Looks like I might of thrown a spanner in the works... Looks to me if you really want to use cause and effect you have to prove the universe came into existence because of a cause..

but it begs the question, if the big bang had no cause, then not everything is the result of cause and effect...

If free will is predicated on cause and effect..and if the beginning of the universe had no cause then how would that fit into the debate about free will?..

Thats a great motivational story BigJ.. I have lower back pain ever time I put too much pressure on my lower back during work.. Usually manifested itself if I did any lifting involving uneven lengths of wood.. say a long branch five ft out in front, two ft behind.. or bending down pulling up saplings, that one gets me every time... Used to send me round the bend for days afterwards.. But I think like you I have the measure of it now... I sit on the couch, place my legs under the table my PC sits on, my feet touching the underside of the table and do a sit up routine while sat on the couch.. only takes a minute and I've had wonderful results.. I think in your case as in mine its about trapped nerves, in your case the muscle has pulled the nerve back into position, in mine its realigning a trapped nerve due to bad posture.. I can't sit straight for more than a minute, I'm a sloucher..

Not so fast Mr Eggsarascal.. I read an article on the subject a few years back.. define workload?.. its a subjective term, could mean anything.. extra work in the same timeframe=shifts....

Eggsarascal Errr no I don't have a link, its something I came across some years back.. but I just did a google search and the number one reason police officers are going to leave the force is workload 73%.. I'd hazard a guess hiding in that stat is working shifts... its part of the work load is it not?.... so, point proven I do believe. Mull I only ever go on this forum, I've been kicked off the ones I used to frequent.. kicked off the same one three times over the years.. I learned my lesson though, I sometimes catch myself and delete the reply before I click post.. about half of my posts end in the bin.. They should axe the chief constables job or whichever dick it was who wants to get rid of the PCSO's.. My theory is the police force should be split into two halves.. shift working police and split days.. the number one reason police leave the service is shift work.. dumbbells can't figure it might be better to provide police officers with regular day work as an option..

I like Katie myself, she says the things that need to be said by someone with a public profile.. MP's have a duty to keep a lid on explosive social issues.. there are things MP's and media types can't speak on or know better to speak on lest they make matters worse... ex, terrorist atrocities.. unless they have a workable solution to problems they tend to keep their council and instead attempt to deal with bringing communities together.. But people like Katie act as a jester, they poke fun at power and convention.. she can say what we all think without it leading to violence or social unrest... Its like taking the lid off a pressure cooker.. in that regard Katie has done damned more good than harm.. Then there's the fact that she's funny..
