  1. Maybe if people,me included, were a bit more knowledgeable on a subject b4 they commented on it they wouldnt have to apologise.
  2. If you truly believe what you think, why would you apologise? Everyone has an opinion does'nt make it right or wrong.
  3. This is a touchy subject and i have an opinion but im not willing to share it on these pages BUT let me just say to some of the people claiming immigrants are all scroungers etc over 60% of doctors working in our NHS right now are non nationals. Not all asylem seekers/immigrants are on the take. Its really sad that it takes pictures of a dead child to make us sit up and pay attention to whats been going on for months.I dont want to get into arguements on this forum just my opinion.
  4. If your near scottish border try treevolution, based just outside edinburgh.Cant speak highly enough of those guys.Run by Chris white, senior instructor johnny stableford. Both top top guys
  5. Im not entirely sure how that would go but from personal experience working for my local council authority-some years back a house owner was asked to remove a limb off a tree in there garden which had grown over a public path, when some months past and no action had been taken, the council removed the offending limb and billed the home owner for the work carried out.Perhaps the highway authority would do the same after clearing it with the relevant authorities.
  6. Ur never too old to train for anything, try to get some casual work-weekends or evenings outwith your normal working hours.Even volunteer labour for free to get some experience. Get your chipper ticket before cs38 its more relevant to groundie work.good luck m8:thumbup1:

  12. Hi turtlewoods72, Ive been keepin an eye on your predicament and i admire your perseverance even in the face of husky biased adversity, some husky luvers seem to have a sixth sense for the imminent death of a stihl.Since you ve checked everything else out on thd saw it would seem to me the bar is the issue. Keep us posted how u go and laugh along with the husky laughin boys

  15. Hi all,Im goin on the old cs47 windblown trees course soon and im weirdly nervous-maybe cause ive not done any training in a while.Any advice for lierature to study or experience of this course by others would br appreciated. Cheerz in advance
  16. Look up donnyboy73 or andy renolds on yuotube for anything stihl chainsaw related.
  17. Quite an undertaking to remove the oil resevoir to check the feed tube, best bet is youtube mate.goodluck!!
  18. Agree with john newton, although could also be the feeder tube from the oil resevoir to the body of the saw could have a twist or bend in it preventing proper oil pressure being acheived. This sometimes happens at the manufacturing plant. Or just take it back...?
  19. Have you checked the oil feed worm is located properly into the notch on the inside of the sprocket mate?
  20. Cut a telephone line while cutting epicormic of a common lime with a pole prunner, its was a reverends house too,i felt like a proper plonker.luckily the guy was very understanding-he even made us tea...
  21. Ive ran a zigzag through 13 mm rope with no issues. Can be bit clumsy in smaller trees with dense foliage though-in that situation i go to hitch climber set up.
  22. Stihl 038 av mag,18 " bar- i will cry when that saw finally dies.Never let me down
  23. Stein do some good hiviz jackets, reasonably priced with zipped vents under each arm..not got cut proof sleeves though and you will eventually still sweat like a porkie kid in a cake shop
