  1. I have one and find it quite suitable for my needs, but I'm not up top on ropes. If you already have makita 18v lxt tools then it complements them quite well.
  2. Marital recommend Aspen. Or at least they do in the handbook.
  3. Didn't say that. Scotland made a mess of their own line-out. What followed was a consequence of that error. Their doing, no one else's.
  4. My point being, they lost their line-out. Win that and they were in the semi's. Everything that followed was a consequence of that error.
  5. Worth remembering that Scotland destiny lay in their own hands. All they had to do was win their own line-out. Blaming Joubert and/or the system is a side issue. England cocked up their line-out and got pilloried. Scotland cocked up theirs and it's someone else's fault.
  6. The ones in the wrong are the various pundits, nearly all ex players, who have publicly castigated the ref for not using the TMO during the match and specifically 'that' incident. The likes of Gavin Hastings and that no name Matt Dawson would do themselves a favour by publicly apologising for their comments about the ref. He followed the rules imposed on him. They banged on about the lack of courtesy on protocol on the refs part by not shaking the captains hands and making a hasty retreat. The same protocol says you do not abuse the ref, especially when you yourself don't know the rules. If the ref had attempted to go upstairs to the TMO, imagine the outcry from the Aussies, and the likely put down when when the ARs or TMO himself refused the request -rembering that we can all hear the officials.
  7. Not allowed, fella would have been pilloried for doing so, oh, hang on. Bottom line, he made a split second call in a pressure situation and followed the rules.

As an aside, recalling the case of a chap getting prosecuted by hse for improper use of chainsaw, couldn't they jump on this shower of crooks to? Teach the bstds a lesson.

Not good viewing for the industry. On now
  12. I too opened an Hareaves account but for a SIPP. I don't trust insurance companies to run pension funds so thought I'd take control of it myself. With Auto enrolment for pensions coming in it spurred me to make make the decision. As yet I've avoided individual shares and stuck to funds. Also, in an attempt to hopefully minimise the risk (there always is risk) I've selected funds from their Wealth 150+ list. Reason for funds and not shares are several, but main ones are; In reality I know jack about buying /selling the best stock at the right time. Fees are minimal - in comparison to dealing in shares as an individual The Fund Manager is well experienced and their performance is minutely scrutinised by both their company and the market. The SIPP contributions get me the tax benefits Has it being a good move?. I'd say so. Certainly better than one of my insurance investments. Average performance of 4 funds matching my Prudential policy and a couple ahead of the game. All that said, the last few weeks has made for grim reading but that happened for virtually everybody and does tend to happen on an almost yearly cycle.
  13. Amazing how many elf n safety brigade take pictures of people doing things they consider wrong and/or dangerous.......but do nothing to stop them continuing.....then take the moral high ground.
  14. First priority for any team is getting through the group stage. Finishing top of the group is not necessarily the best option, especially with Japan beating the saffa's.
  15. Want to? More likely a case of doing as he's told. Scary.
  16. Oh well, can't beat them all. Especially grumpy football fans.
  17. Just to remind you. "During the Matches you will see some disturbing sights. Players are going to get Hit. They are going to get Hit Extremely hard, and they are going to get up again without complaining, and without rolling around in agony. This is normal in Rugby, and is called Manning the **** Up. You will also notice that the Players will not surround the Referee and call him A Wanker. They will also not call the Touch Judge A Blind Wanker. Finally, the Crowd wil not sing 'The Referees A Wanker'. I know its Odd, but we kind of like it that way." [ame] [/ame]
  18. Oh dear, seems some can't see humour for what it is. Oh well.
  19. The Rugby World Cup - A Guide for Footy Fans Some of you Football Fans will doubtless want to give some of your time to the RWC over the next few weeks, so you may find the following useful. Firstly, you may have noticed that England have been paired with Uruguay. Do not be alarmed, they are actually ****. Surprisingly, more worrying are Wales, who are half handy, and Australia who are more than handy, they are Fecking Good. You may also have spotted Fiji. Fiji does not play Left side midfield for Southampton, its actually a place and we are playing them tonight During the Matches you will see some disturbing sights. I know its Odd, but we kind of like it that way. The Rules. This obviously is a tricky one. Four Years ago the Call of choice from Footie Fans was 'Over the Top Ref'. You were never right then, and chances are you wont be now. Far better to go with 'In at the Side'. Since neither the Players, the Ref or the Crowd ever get this right, there is every chance you may pull this one off. Just don't shout it during A Scrum or A Lineout as you will look A Complete Dick. Finally, don't bother shouting 'Not Straight' at A Scrum. No International Scrum has been fed straight since 1987, and that was an Accident Watching in the Pub. This will be equally strange for You. Supporters of both Teams will be present and wearing their 'Colours'. They are not going to attempt to Kill or Maim each other, And they will not abuse each other with Foul Language. The Atmosphere will be pleasant (unless too many of you arseholes turn up....) It will most definitely NOT be A wise move for you to 'Offer someone out'. In the unlikely event that someone from A Rugby Club 'Offers you out', The wisest course of action will be to leave via the Toilet Window. I hope you find this useful, and please try not to be too much of A pain in the Arse. Enjoy!!
  20. True, I agree with the MCOL route because chances are this won't be a first offence so to speak, the fact it goes to CC word gets round and life becomes more difficult for ****s like that. Rightly so.
  21. Sorry, but that's not quite correct. CCJ only kicks in if culprit fails to pay within the time frame stipulated - usually 30 days(?)
  22. Trigger's new broom springs to mind.

    First chainsaw

Just to say, I joined the other week and my first topic was about buying 1st chainsaw. The advice was both relevant and pertinent. The side comments were relevant and highly amusing. I for one valued and appreciated all comments.
  24. And don't forget, the Met got themselves into a right mess with this little scam. Not in their remit to aid and abet bailiffs at roadside stops. This programme is 12 months old. All old hat and in many parts of it, misleading.
