Well spotted, 572, maybe just long enough, but I bolloxed it up coming in from the shed side. Had fibre pull out of the felled butt, which would likely have got me told off if I was a commercial faller.

Very decent size oak to take down. No lean, but a lot of back weight towards a house and septic tank. 4 and a half hours in the harness. Sore back tonight!

The satellite imagery is fairly well established, even when I was a boy. It’s the computer programs predicting the likely scenarios that has caused the improvement in forecasting. At least that was my understanding of it.

Compared to when I was young, the weather forecast is very accurate.
