You cannot use a chipper like that, if it goes in, it’s in. Stress control should keep you from damaging it.

You use a ratchet strap for your GRCS and the Hobbs you sold me don’t you? just use that ratchet strap for the POW, hey presto it’s rigid to the tree.

If I understand correctly (always a bit of a lottery at this time) Why not just use a ratchet strap, with a loopie/stroopie back up?

I had a st8 from the same era, lost the vertical anvil completely, disappeared through the chute, welding so poor it was effectively glued on. Moving it on was one of the best days of my life.

Cut high (pollard) That’ll stop it falling apart. -
Official line is, like birch, get it split and in the dry immediately and it will be decent firewood, leave it outside and it’ll turn to mush.

Me being boring of course. On my sites there is zero tolerance for any sort of practical joke or tomfoolery with climbing gear, climbers, or machinery.

White pudding is always a treat, just back from Ireland myself so filled up with it during hotel breakfasts.

Tbh, I would not be able to eat that, and I’d be a bit annoyed to have that it in front of me without warning. I have breakfast at home before goin to work and bring lunch. At the most I’d be happy with a ‘bacon sandwiches at 10.30 ok?’
