Climbing trees

If you climb trees for a living, what do you need to cycle, swim or run for ................just a thought.

It is all thoroughly depressing.

because their just regular people in their countries just trying to get on with life. they're not armed to the teeth with Kalashnikovs and mortars and tanks to fight back with - in history in these situations the unarmed citizens either have to Kow Tow or Run.

Good idea! wish i'd thought of that point in my plan, yes every able body man of fighting age within the refugees should fight for their country and help rid it of these Evil fanatics - we could train them & supply them, they could have their own spearheading Division. I disagree with another commentator about ISIS not be a new thing in the Islamic world. ISIS is killing as many 'regular' Sunni Muslims as Shia because their invented brand of Islam is so extreme that they regard Sunni Muslims who don't conform to their super-extreme take on every bit of life just as much 'non-muslims' as they regard everyone else. The only way you could survive their regime would be to act 'in-line' with their doctrine and participate in the Beheading of people merely for having a cigarette - whatever was going on in your head - every day of everyone's life would be filled with a background terror of being denounced by another. ISIS need exterminating for the Vermin to the whole world that they are. These people are as much Vermin to ordinary muslims as they are to non-muslims.

Europe needs to tackle this because it's Europe's doorstep & Beaches that are on the receiving end. Although there is no harm in seeking the rest of the World's help. And let's not kid ourselves, if ISIS is not utterly destroyed they will keep expanding, growing in capability until 1 day they're knocking on your door and then you'll be the one begging for help wherever you can find it.

Where to start......... I'm in the camp (generally speaking) that is fed up with people coming into UK in vast numbers taking jobs 2.5 Million when there are 2 Million UK citizens on the Dole, stretching our Housing, NHS, & other resources etc, etc. However, that sentiment is directed at the Free Movement of Europeans within Europe & I would leave the EU for those reasons. The situation with the Syrians is totally different though. This is actually worse (in scale) than the Jewish peoples needing to flee the Nazis I. WW2. The geographical area is much larger than most realise & what we're seeing now is only going to get worse. These people are being squeezed between Assad on the one hand & ISIS on the other. Because of this some 75% of the population are at real risk of extermination. These people are genuinely fleeing for their lives and all this talk of Law and staying in the 1st safe haven etc is really just an excuse for an unwillingness to help. There's only one way to solve any of this & we need the whole of Europe involved: 1. Europe act as a whole in all these measures 2. Accept the reality of the situation 3. Allow them in 4. At 1st European destination administer & assess 5. Distribute all Refugees (YES. Refugees) equally through European Nations ( on existing populations) onbasis that once Syria sorted & sstabilised they will be Repatriated. 6. Combine huge Military forces, invade region WW2 Style not "Modern conflict" style - all out War 7. Obliterate ISIS 8. Get rid of Assad 9. Give the region European Martial Governance (stability) for a decade of course Repatriating the Refugees 10. Build them a Demo easy in that 10 years along the lines of Germany after WW2. Then after all that sorted we could leave Europe as I would vote for!

Someone mentioned £200 on first page - I've skipped the rest, just gotta comment. A Mass manufactured item by a big company that looked as good as the one with pieces all going into the centre like that might cost £200 - a unique piece like that handmade by an Artisan - £800.

Nothing wrong about DDT Rachel, tried & tested. I tried SRT - hated it, then maybe I was doing it wrong - didn't give it much chance before going back to Doubled rope.I like the control & being able to tie in another 2 spots with long lanyards & prussics & then have full X,Y,Z positioning control. Nothing beats feeling in complete control rather than struggling with the unfamiliar.

I love my Hitch Climber too Rachel - I use a Knut Prussic. Used to use Swaibisch but Knut better, VT binds on rope.

I find Hitch Climber simple & effective, of course it relies on a Prussic, the Pulley just tends the Prussic & make it easier - so not quite understanding why you couldn't get on with the Hitch Climber Dec?

There are different scenarios here: 1. Gary didn't give permission in which case Sue's been lying to you from start to fulfill her desire to remove the hated trees next door possibly thinking why should Gary mind - after all he's moving out soon. Which would indicate she's a: Stupid b: no friend to you or Gary 2. Gary knows that 3 trees have been cut down, yet he's trying to screw you & Sue for 7 He screws his 'friends' over - nice chap 3. Gary did give Sue permission in which case he's truly Machiavellian That's assuming you did cut only 3 trees down 4. Your not a good judge of character - no offence. OK it is a bit offensive but looking at the evidence you present. Nonetheless true.
