The Truckers are a fine example of how British business & successive governments have caused skills deficits - HGV driving used to be a very well paid job, the Truckers were well experienced & knew how to properly handle big rigs - they earned their money - never used to get trucks ploughing into back of cars on hard shoulders 30 hrs ago. But then a bunch of smartarses go & get Europeans in for half the pay - no longer worth it so the experienced Brit drivers leave & go and do something more profitable - then later when we're all being killed on the roads by people you wonder how they ever got licences oh forgot we have very high test STDs and everyone else just have to demonstrate they can start the engine. So, ltdr - all the smartarses wish they had better drivers - but they all left years ago :-( SKILLS SHORTAGE! - they're gonna lose all our Doctors next ......... Mark my words.

For 22 months from beginning of 2009 I was unemployed (1st and hopefully last time). Me, my wife, 2 kids one just newborn. Yes my mortgage interest was covered (not until substantial arrears built up tho) but otherwise I got £50/week to pay for food, electric, gas and all else ( including 20% council tax) - now where is this bloody incentive not to work then? Cos if you think you can happily cover all expenditure apart from the roof over your head for a family of 4 then hats off to ya! I hear this twaddle about people getting nearly as much on the dole as people in work and it's utter drivel - I had to live thru it and it damned near killed me.

Obama is the best President the USA ever had, pity he's not British I'd happily vote for him to replace all the crap elitism we have as excuse for politicians here. And no Easy Lift I don't expect you to understand - USA is the nation of Idiocy, the sad thing is that it has the vast resources (which your nation has always squandered and always will) to impose your idiocy on the rest of the world As for being weak! Again it is only your superior resource that stops Americans being shown up for their individual weaknesses - one on one i'd always put my money on the non-USA candidate - wherever they were from America is like a giant child stalking the world - but still a child nevertheless.

Why do you blame the poor buggers that are working a 42 or more hour week for not enough money to actually manage in this country's cost of living! Why are you not blaming the people/companies that display no morals or ethics and are merely exploitative - why are we subsidising peoples pay - could it be private enterprise's fault perhaps for joyfully taking advat the rest of us!antage all the time? Stop blaming the people on the receiving end of these gross injustices and start blaming the rich bastards who are dishing it out nd laughing

I thought letting it run was in those situations where if you don't the limb can swing about and cause a hazard for the Climber - letting it run in those situations takes it away from the Climber and therefore if situation doesn't call for it then no need? -

I think you should elaborate your thoughts a bit more otherwise you come across as a Xenaphobe & a Bigot. You see I agree with your footnote that we shouldn't have to accept Economic Migrants (that would be the Europeans coming here to work) but people fleeing certain death don't fall in that category.
