  2. oregon braces for me really wide and comfy £10 from clarks(ish)
  3. A lorry load of bulk bags or roundwood.if y go for roundwood diameters over 14 inches will be cheaper as they are less suitable for processors.mainly the bigger diameter the cheaper the load but harder to cut and spit without specialist kit.can be done with axe and wedges but brutal.
  4. can we have an interpeter on standby just in case we all get out of our depth ....or make it an alcohol free thread?
  5. oh no its cold here so 5 inches is a bit of an exaggeration.if i could find it i would be able to get an accurate measure...no logging tape required!!!

  10. You what ,in tractor maybe but not in truck.you must talk too much jon either on phone or to client. Round here good roads and no traffic.
  11. 1 full load at a time,can do a double load with cages,or can get 4 cube bags on at once and crane them off .normally just load one load deliver tip and back to base and repeat.most deliveries are less than 10 miles.

  15. spruce is the worst wood to put through a processor ,especially if its dry,stringy and if full of knots horrible,larch now thats a great wood to cut:thumbup:
  16. i have had a farmi ok machine but slow replaced with posch 360 and what a beast.you can also come and have a look if you are near,otherwise speak to john wilson at wilsons or kenny watt at caledonian forestry both have a good range of reconditioned machines for your sort of money .if you can wait till may both run open days and you can see the latest models flexing their muscles.
  17. Just sold mine with a knackered starter side.....New crank case front husky is 200 quid,can only buy as a pair.there was a clutch side on ebay a week ago.jake.now got a 560 and flying
