  1. I was just looking at the photo's again and that had crossed my mind. It's the scent that I'm sure I know.
  2. Any ideas as to what this is? It has an almost citrus scent when the leaves are rubbed.
  3. Outstanding, I'll be down for a wedding in Sussex on the 20th (?) i think, I'll try and get it on the way past, whichever fits in with you, if that's ok. Thanks, that's Ace!
  4. I'd love it, and I'll be passing in a couple of weeks. What sort of size is it (Van or Car), I may have to explain taking the van down instead of the car! I'm just setting up a lathe (once I move the greenhouse to make a workshop), so need to get such tools. Thanks Tim
  5. I finally got round to weighing it. It's about 16kg or 35lb. Team lift, really!
  6. Again thanks, the soaking of the hole is a good idea. as for the fence, I want it straight as it's a formal fence. It's an odd fence, mind, 40" high, 2" Chicken wire, with a strimming board at the bottom, and a 4" half round top rail (flat side down). But that's what the customer wants, so that's what he'll get.
  7. Aye, quicker and better. My aim is to get the posts in straight, In my experience you can drive them in crocked (due to roots or stones), or dig and set them in (but as I'm doing a wire fence, there's no need for concrete and this seems a wee bit overkill), so, to get them straight I was thinking about an Auger. That simple. As for working hard, holding the post is hard work, almost as hard as trying to come up with fresh and yet still witty abuse for the guy I'll be paying to do the hard work!
  8. Thanks for the advice guys, I may get a stihl one, but the cheap ones sound like an accident waiting to happen.
  9. You sure about the AV? An old 046 is probably worth £250-300 if it's in good nick, but I'm not familiar with it. I've a MS460 which is a great saw, and cost about £900 new.
  10. Totally agree, Should be 90, and any muppet sitting in the middle lane should be booked. It should not be an offence to undertake, but be an offence to be undertaken.
  11. I had two similar calls, one out in NZ back in 2005, and another in 2006 on the A27 near Brighton doing 92. The annoying thing with that one was that I'd sped up due to the dick behind being too close. The a fore mentioned cock then turned his blues on and gave me a wee word before letting me off with a warning. no paper work at all. It drove my mate who was on 9 points and always drove like a granny nuts!
  12. Looks good, balance the gallery with more trees and less tinker toys and I'd give it the thumbs up. Don't be afraid to put photo's of the fiddly little cherry prunes, because that's what some customers want!
  13. Hi, I've got a big fencing job coming up, and am looking through a host of cheap (German) of Augers (£130-£200), the one which I have come to the conclusion of buying is a Fuxtec, as I can get an 80mm bit for it (the job is for 3" square posts). Has anyone any experience of any of these Augers? Gasoline Auger Post Hole Digger Set Pole Drill Ice Drill Earth Drilling Device | eBay
  14. I used to look after Tom 'Dr Who' Bakers and Davina McCalls ponds. Also did some hedge work for Gary Newman.
  15. Last time I saw one it was on my chest. An ex and I were sunbathing/snoozing in a post coital fashion along a secluded spot of the dorset coast when she jumped out of her skin, leapt up, and brushed an adder onto my bare chest. I'm not sure who was more scared me or the snake, but i brushed it off and it slithered away. I was very lucky to escape a wee nip.
  16. Aye, I've used this, with a bit of fairy liquid before to sort out a guncked up oil pump. It work for me, and running the tank through with no bar on is like a water pistol from hell!
  17. It's better with water out of a kelly's kettle, it's just that wee bit hotter.
  18. Yorkshire or Twinnings everyday (the yellow one) though they're both hard to get on the island, so we often have a punjab tea blended in northern island ( I think by thompsons) which is good an very cheap. Other than that if using a pot, loose leaf, it tastes better and is cheaper.
  19. That was my thought too, we could all turn up and play the funniest game of Jenga ever!
  20. Cheers. I shall cut it away.
  21. Very much so, there is a move on the continent to do exactly this, remove all direction and force people to drive/walk more cautiously. It sounds like a bad idea, but it works! Often in this country, you're not watching the road because you're to busy reading the signs!
  22. I know it's not a tree, but what one earth is growing on this Azalea?
  23. It came in a box, again with team lift stickers, but that didn't make a very good photo, then it was cling wrapped. I do wonder who would use a post knocker, who would be worried about a a scratch or two, but they wrapped it all the same!
  24. I'm not sure, I'll check, but it's a one man tool, definitely.
