1. I think ours is roughly 50% word of mouth, 40% repeat customers and 10% advertising in local parish magazine. No faceache, no website been going ten years this year.
2. Thanks mate, have a great weekend, your more than welcome to come and do some work when your down my way and give the mog a blast. See you soon.
3. Here you go mate Just got back in from the journey up north and she looks cracking, vos have done a great job. had a good drive in her and a thorough play with all the controls so I'm very happy and now awaiting confirmation of delivery hopefully for next week. 🤞 That's some good reps on those push ups mate, Have you tried the bring Sally up challenge yet it's a killer. That little saw I won at the arbshow is an absolute gem. It's the first saw on the truck in the morning, it's worth its weight in gold. It's had a hammering on anything and everything we can throw at it and it Doesn't get affected by the rain, as yet! And it's worked through some messy weather recently. I can honestly say I'll be getting another and spare batteries. The amount of production you can get out of one battery is massive. The lads love it. Anyone who is sceptical about them should try one for a week or two they won't put them down. Enjoy the pics mate, have you had a go at swimming yet? It really give you a good workout, try breaststroke and see how many lengths you can do in half an hour.
4. Spot on mate. Glad all is good with you, keep it up. The passage from the book brought back alot of memories of my own, looks a good read. Have a great day, I'm sure you will. I'm up tut north today visiting Atkinson vos to veiw the finished article ready for delivery [emoji106] so good times. All the best geoffers
5. Have a goosey gander at this boysies SELLING FOR CUSTOMER - NO VAT ON SALE. This Unimog has been very well looked after by it's long term owner (now sadly deceased). It is well equipped with a rear PTO, three point linkage & fixed hitch plus working group gears. The Unimog is in lovely original condition. The cab is in great order for the year and the Unimog drives well. The timber crane with 1400mm grab & Junkari woodchipper both in good working order are included in the sale. The crane could be removed and an x-frame, tipper ram & body could be fitted at additional cost. Just undergone inspection in our workshop and in good condition all round. http://www.unimogs.co.uk/our-stock/unimogs/u1000ag-full-agric-spec-u1000ag-full-agric-spec-b3430
6. Cheers lads I can't wait for it to arrive. Got some nice jobs lined up for her when she finally lands, I'll get some more pictures up once she does fully setup.
7. Thankyou Master Blair, It was yourself and others on here that have inspired me to finally live a dream of owning one. (Well maybe I'm not dreaming of the repair bills yet, but you only live once!) it should prove very handy for the business though as it means we are covered for pretty much any task, and with the added ability to shift plant to site makes it win win.
8. Won this bad boy at the arb show this year on the forst ninja warrior course and been putting it through its paces in the last month and it's stood up well. I had always been a bit sceptical about the battery powered saws but since owning this I have found it brilliant on light pruning work, saves pull starting the 150 or 200 every time you are in position to make a cut. Also nice to be able to hear what's going on around you, almost like climbing and cutting with a silky. Plus if you really want to it can manage small dismantles. Plus the battery is surprisingly good.
9. Finally got my mog almost on the way. It's been a long time in coming but should be with me in the next week or so. Started sourcing kit last year and soon to be a complete unit.... cannot wait. 10. Had my front mount schliesing re-sprayed at AC price when I bought it. it cost about £2000 plus another £200 for the new graphics. But it's absolutely spotless and well was well worth it. So I would expect it to be around the £1500-£2000 mark.
11. Cheers steve I'll tell the Mrs she will be happy 😊
12. Good to see you again Paul, have a great rest of holiday and I'll update you on the 160t this week. Take care mate she's on charge already.
13. Hi I have some part time work available over the next six weeks. It would be every Monday and Friday initially, and for the right candidate possibly a full time position or more subby work. Minimum requirement is that you have qualifications up to cs38 or more. As you will be working in a team of six dismantling trees. Ideally you have transport to get to or are local to daventry Northamptonshire, as you will be picked up on the way to site. The position would suit young or old. Any questions please pm me or text or call 07736650628 many thanks Geoff
14. Tw280 game changer. Just had one on hire for the last couple of weeks and it's a cracker.
15. Pictures attached of the first one taken down plus rough measurements of the other two that are still to come down. The one that we took down was roughly 20" across as it's a 25" bar on the 460 in the picture. The largest one is a good 24" across and is a nice even trunk to about 5 metres. Thanks Geoff
16. Cheers big j, I take it the least amount of sapwood the better?
17. Hi Alec two of the three will come down tomorrow as the largest of the three is right next to the hoarding and Inbetween a temporary site compound so once the compound is moved next week I'll drop it.
18. I'll measure them up tomorrow but from what I can remember the largest is roughly 2' across
19. Barnet London just off the north circular. Easy access for any vehicle and timber will be roadside to colllect
20. Just attached pics, Apologies for the discreet giant X's the tree survey guys got a bit trigger happy 😊
21. Morning all, I am currently on a site clearance and have three black walnut trees to remove within the scope of works. Is anyone interested in the wood for milling? or the roots for fancy tables or gunstocks? Or the branch wood for turning? Currently the trees are standing. It seems a shame to waste it on firewood if the heartwood is solid and nicely coloured. I will get the lads to take some pictures today and put them up. Thanks geoffers
