Hi folks as above. Looking at buying a carving saw I have a Husky 560xpg so will use that for blocking out. I was looking at both the echo 310 and the husky 235 and was wondering what one would be better for starting out carving? I will be putting on a carving bar and chain. This was the sort of price range I was looking at (£150- £200) is there anything better you would recommend?

Last one of those I had the customer decided to have a go with a hand saw and the wind picked up. We got the call and I ended up using poles to set a line then sectioned it down with poles. Take your time.

Is it worth sending my husqvarna 455 rancher to be spudified as its not a pro saw?My other saw is a 560xpg but keep the rancher just in case.

Cool mate thanks for that. It sounds like the kind of work I do mostly anything bigger and I would keep the wood for my wood burning stove. On large jobs I could just hire a tow behind chipper. 😉 many thanks.

I've had my ACL repaired 2 times now. I wrecked all the cartridge in it the first time so I've had all mines taken out. I'm climbing without to much problems. As others have said just take your time and you will learn to compensate kneeling, twisting etc. Heal quick mate. 😉
