  1. Hi folks I picked up a hitch climber last week and was wondering how anyone who uses it the best setup for conifer removals. When I was taught to climb on spikes I just flip lined and choked around the main stem using a prussick and my rope. I would appreciate seeing pictures of other people's setups with regards to dismantles.

  3. Just looking for some advice from some of you who have went down this route. I am coming from a Horticultural background Apprenticeship then on to do HNC. How long does it take to go through the Arborists' Certification Study Guide, Thi and be able to take the exam. I'm just looking at real life experience as I am thinking about going down this route.   10. Hi Folks, Just a quick post looking for advice. I am from a Horticulture background and am looking to get some former quals in Arb. I currently hold SVQ Level 3 in Amenity Hort as well as a HNC in Hort. I was looking at the ISA Cert Arb but dont know if this would be the best route or the AA Tech Cert. Any advice would be great. I currently hold CS30,31,38&39 and am looking to do 40, 41 & CS34/35 in the next couple of months. Thanks in advance. Baz

  14. Well guys I took your advice and I have just completed my climbing and chainsaw from a rope and harness. 😉 what a buzz just wish I had done it years ago. Thanks for all the advice and for persuading me to do it. 😉

  23. Anybody any good with spider ident? I've got this living at the back of my house. It's body and head are approximately 3/4" -1" in length. I thought possibly a mothercare spider. Cheers Baz

  25. I've been looking through this thread and couldn't see anything about a Husky 455 rancher with x - torque. The saw runs fine on a 15" bar (not the quickest ) but I'm looking to stick a 18" bar on it. My question is would it be worth getting ported or indeed can it be ported?
