  1. With juicers you get what you pay for, mine can be used for making mince, pasta and even sausages! Get what suits your budget.
  2. Jason vale has apps with lots of juices or get this book
  3. We have juice everyday, I got this off the Jason Vale site, it's great and is a mastercating juicer. We add spirilina to the juice which is really good form of green algae. If you watch fat sick and nearly dead it will change your mind on juicing.
  4. Your lucky then, most folk I know with l200 say there always breaking things. But hey if it's good for you that's all that matters mate
  5. Don't get me started on l200, there even worse:)
  6. Yawn, I've towed a few hi lux out of the mud in my Landy in the past. The new hi lux are made of paper compared to a landrover, what's the towing capacity of a hi lux? And feels gutless when towing compared to my Td5 and yes I was driving a 2004 hi lux to make the comparison.
  7. I had one today, him "can you deliver me some logs befor Christmas" me " have you had them from me before?" Him " no but my usual guy hasn't got any" me "no sorry I'm booked up" I'm looking after my regulars.
  8. Do it mate, it's Christmas.
  9. That's why if folk charged a proper rate this industry would be in the state its in, some people will work for such low rates it's unbelievable. I don't worry about them anymore I just sit back and laugh and sip Champaign in the Alps, ho, ho, ho .
  10. Good luck with that. I bet your flat out at that price, put yer price up and see how you go.
  11. Coz there ace, I love my HB20 sooooo much!! Best small grinder by far!
  12. Heavy duty suspension and mud terrains.
  13. Well for all the crap we have to put up with then we want at least 25k
  14. Work out your running costs and add your wages and that's how much to charge.
  15. Err I'm agreeing with you Ian, I'm vat reg now.
  16. Get a good accountant, I have one, he costs me £65 per month and I won't go into the money he has saved me in the last 14 years. My advice to anyone is to know your costs and go from there.
  17. But that's what you do, I'm in business for me so I charge what I need to and so do other people. I don't understand these threads where people want to know how much others would charge when there are so many variables. At £200 a day for a man and machine it's not a decent wage after tax etc.
  18. ......and your point is?
  19. That's not entirely true, you may not have the crew to bosh a job as quick as the VAT reg company you priced against, you put a day on the job they may do it in half a day so they can be cheaper, of course this can work both ways. I have always been against going VAT reg but I now have no choice, looking at my overheads and what I can claim back I won't have to pass 20% onto my customers anyway.
  20. I have had 2 lads on work experience from an Arb course, they were second year students and although nice lads were useless. They had no work ethic, they couldn't use a chainsaw with any confidence as they had had a few hours training in the woods and that was it, they kept getting promised more time in the saw but we're spending more time in the class room learning things that in the real world will be less use than practical skills. People ask to give young lads a chance but why would I when they need to ask mummy if they can come to work!! On the other side of this I have a 16 lad who has not been to school since he was 13, he can't read and is one of the hardest working lads I know, show him once and he can do it.
  21. Yes I sort of agree but a freelance climber brings experience and some kit, he has no need for insurance as that's on mine, he hasn't been to price/ sort job or got to wait weeks to be paid. If the chipper/ splitter breaks it's on me not them.
  22. That looks fantastic!
  23. So my overheads and insurance etc are cheaper because I'm using a log splitter are they? My outgoings don't alter just because I take a smaller machine, well apart from the fuel. They can take it or leave it, I ain't a mug, after 13 years in this game you learn a lot and one thing is don't be too cheap!
