  1. Small Wellingtonia to come down, small garden and a bit of a drag but we got is boshed in the day and got rid of all the wood.
  2. I think if you go into that much depth working out how your green teeth wear and how many percent they wear over how long etc then you must have too much time on your hands:) when they are blunt you can tell, give em a turn. When all 3 sides are worn, sharpen or replace. That's all there is to it. Get out and enjoy life mate.
  3. 32 cube of lovely kiln dried logs being dropped off at my yard, my lads cut and split all our Arb waste and 2 weeks later it comes back dry:)
  4. Depends what they paid for the wood or it could be Arb waste. If the didn't pay for it then that's a fair price.
  5. Ha,Ha, I was thinking the same.
  6. Baltics, radioactive birch.
  7. Why do you want to hire it out? It can often cause more problems than £100 is worth. I speak from experience as I used to hire my tracked machine out, came back with damage most times yet the lads I hired it to always denied any knowledge of damage. I wouldn't bother to be honest mate.
  8. And the rest, I looked at a 130 crew cab chassis can and it was 28 plus vat and a body.
  9. Awesome jacket, not a fan of hoods so it's not a problem. Very hard wearing. I have had mine for 2 years nearly now and it's only problem was the side zip broke but was easy fixed.
  10. I once did a job for a retired Chef, he gave us bacon rolls on arrival then asked us what we would like for lunch and gave us a choice of steak and kidney pie, chips and peas or chicken and mushroom, we chose Steak and kidney and it was awesome, he made it while we worked.
  11. Ha,Ha, I rest my case your honour:) can't beat a good debate.
  12. Your mistaken if you think I get upset, I just find your posts a bit childish, I am just defending what I think is a good machine, mine munches away on 6" logs as good as the other chippers I've seen, yes the bearings could be better but they are what they are and I get on with it. I am in denial of nothing, I think TW are a good machine for the money and am happy with mine. That's all there is to it really.
  13. I have used a Jensen in the past and was not impressed, I rate TW as good machines that do what they are made to do at an affordable price. End of the day you don't like em then that's up to you, I'm giving people an owners view from someone who uses them everyday. I find them super machines. It seems all you do is slag TW off on here and worship greenmech or is it Forst this week;)
  14. When people say charge a day rate I wonder what exactly how much you charge a day, are you one man band with very low overheads or a small company? I am a small company, I have finance payments to make on my stump grinder, I have insurance on tools, chipper, trailers, tractor. I have a decent lifestyle so pay my self a decent wage to reward myself for the hours I put into this game. I do a bit of fencing and charge my normal rate to do the job. Why charge less if you have overheads to meet? I have priced a 8m in length conny hedge removal and stumps and then fence instal, 4x4 posts, rails and vertical boards with 5cm spacing. £750 take it or leave it. It will be done right.
  15. Get a bandit HB20 mate. Finance it if you can't afford it outright as it's the best pedestrian grinder out there.
  16. Seem to hold there value second hand if you can find one. Stevie Blair had one on here and then sold it so he knows a bit about them. I have looked into them but for the right one its gonna cost.
  17. £???
  18. I've had 2 TW 150 and they are great, easy to maintain, yes the bearings can go and yes the fan blades are ally, big deal, they are a good machine if you look after them.
  19. £500 defiantly mate.
  20. You will have to pay me to take it away mate;)
  21. I was just thinking that, until I saw the pic of him on the tree.
  22. After seeing the picture I think you are right treequip, it's like an aircraft hanger on the back of a pick up. The amount of wood in that you would think it would be over loaded empty! Lol,
  23. Have you checked the fan blades? Make sure they are all there. I have only had mine block once, it was a large elm full of leaf on a really wet day and it blocked, the fiberous branch matter was horrid.
  24. I'm bidding on it mate:)
  25. Where was the course
