  1. I had one of these and you REALLY DO need to keep the blades sharp. I changed mine the minute it started to not pull the stuff through - its bloody hard work when having to shove it through.
  2. Interesting, can you post a photo please
  3. Nice going on the cs100. I am looking for one as well now as i sold my mine and REALLY wish i hadnt
  4. Does look quite good + I have a dealer 2 miles from me
  5. Found some 'all seal' and ordered. Again thanks. Not sure sugru was petrol proof after doing a few checks.
  6. Thanks guys I have bent it back, so just need some petrol proof sealant and a new cap as that is smashed as well. Any links for a petrol proof sealer please.
  7. Dropped my 310 of the roof of my tipper yesterday. I loved this saw and would like to get it repaired. But is it possible and economical to do. Photo of damage.
  8. Yes I got the same message from eBay. Thought I smelt a rat
  9. They will NOT take COC - that's what got me concerned. They want paying first and then said they will deliver.
  10. wood chipper diesel on bateson trailer, new starter motor, battery and radiator | eBay Will not except cash on collection and says will deliver it free after cleared funds - sounds real dodgy to me. Any one know anything about this machine
  11. 54 Plate LDV Tipper 83,000 miles but the cab looks like it has been to the moon and back
  12. Again thanks for the info - not sure how to test to see if its the coil with my very limited knowledge. Will probably just buy another coil and put it on
  13. Absolutely smack on the money :thumbup1: - back working a treat again now. BIG thanks. Now any ideas why my fC55R just stopped today for no reason and will not start up at all - they say these things come in threes - wonder what will pack up or play up on tomorrows jobs. Cheers Paul
  14. No way can you get a HB20 as the alley way is small but there is a turn so no chance. Went to have a look at a rayco today - big mothers aint they. Anyway went and saw him and said £240 two men + cost at what i have to pay for 13hp small grinder - NO charge for me ******* about collecting it and taking it back mind you. Said he had another quote two blokes doing it by hand with axes etc for £180. Must be desperate or they feel it will be a good work out with no gym fees I just said make sure they are insured and a proper firm - popped a few doubts in his mind saying that. Will see what happens now. Thanks again for the advice.
  15. Thanks Guys will do as you say tomorrow or give cheapmowers a call as that is where I bought it from. Cheers Paul
  16. Bought this new about 8 months ago - does not get mega use. I used it on saturday and all was well - did sound a little rough later on in the day. Came to use it today and it starts fine and ticks over but will not rev. Its the long reach one - basically the strimmer with a hedge cutter head on it. This one TCGZ4EAS Any ideas what I need to look at please. Cheers Paul
  17. Thanks Guys for all the advice the 2K quote sound good Been in touch with Orange plant in cannock about hiring a machine. The chap I new in Birmingham who used to hire out the smaller stump grinder has now sold his only machine - said it was more trouble that it was worth with all the sharpening and stuff. Any other firms i can call about hiring a machine that you know off. Also the fence panels are not as close as the photo seems to show, but I will be lifting them out anyway to be on the safe side. Cheers Paul
  18. Thanks for the feedback. Not concrete - he has just put some wooden boards across. Not sure what's available to hire by me. Seen the 13hp stuff mind you I think the access might be the problem with the bigger grinders - Its a alley way then a right turn, you can see the gate in the photo. What sort of price should I be quoting per stump then?
  19. Looked at a job last night for grinding out some stumps. Never done this before but thought I would give it a go. I know it is hard work i will have to rent a machine as well. The access is through a gate so not going to be able to use a big machine. He has taken the trees down. I just need to sort out what is left. Quote is is get them about 6 inchs below ground so he or me (seperate quote) can level and turf. 11 stumps - some bigger than others. What should I be quoting for this please, how long do you think it will take two men and one grinder taking it in turns. Photo attached. Nearly all conifers.
  20. Was this job on the Mere Green Road by any chance?
  21. Don't feel left out Tim - I was as well. Bought a feeler gauge and a 3/8 drive star socket, not sure what the shims are for
  22. I think you will get plenty of work, I did. IF you take it all away as that I find is what most people want.
