  1. Got myself another LDV tipper - glutton for punishment
  2. Get into boat storage - they will all be coming of the water soon and will need somewhere to sore over the winter, get out there and get yerself known. Good Luck
  3. This would suit me down to the ground - could be the only van I would need as its not to big and bulky like my LDV was. Just wish it was closer so i could have a look. Nissan Cabstar Tipper in white | eBay
  4. Sold now anyway. I have only had this tipper for 10 months so reckon it was a dodgy MOT as I only did max 5K myself and it only did 8K in the last 12 months. Paid £800 and sold for £650 - so it cost me £150 for 10 months I basically do much more gardening and jet washing than tree work these days. I do have a little Belingo van as well. In fact it only went out about 1 or 2 days a week in the summer max. Last winter Ok it was out most days doing tree work with my chipper So I reckon a panel van might be for my business a better plan + talk customers into keeping the chip
  5. Just had the garage call as I did ask them how much to get it through - £700+ for just the labour did i want them to go any further with pricing. I said NO haha
  6. My LDV Tipper just failed its MOT (see photo)and looks like the end of the road for it even though the engine and box are brill the body work is poor and looking at the fail ticket looks pricey to get another year out of it. Got it now for sale on Gumtree as a failed MOT buy. Sad times as i loved that crappy truck. Looking at other tippers they seem a lot of money, so was thinking of getting a panel van instead to chip into. Do any of you guys actually use a panel van with a chipper?? Got about 3K to spend on a tipper alone but cant find anything any good for that money. My old LDV was a bargain at the time, but not so now Just do not know what to do :confused1:
  7. Got to get a price in tomorrow for a large job. Can any one give me a rough figure for hiring a TW 150 for a month. Never hired before as my little chipper does OK - but this job will need mine + another. IF I get it that is haha Thanks Paul
  8. Conifers and laurel taken down and left by some idiot Also some small limbs to be taken off the mess of a tree they did. Just needs chipping up and taking away. I cant do it now as I am not well enough. PM me and I will give your details to the customer and you can have a chat. Nice couple and could be done next weekend I suppose if you cant do Tuesday. Paul

  10. I am doing more of this sort of work than tree work these days. I now promote it much, much more as well. Nice easy days with a FSC compared to all the aggro with friggin trees, chippers, tippers staff letting u down etc No chemicals are needed at all to be honest, just make sure its a 15 litre per minute machine minimum and the weeds will be blasted. Lovin it :)
  11. EXACTLY the same problem I had - took me all of 20 minutes with a angle grinder and now it fits like a glove
  12. Looks more and more like red thread when i do my little searches. Not dollar spot as the damage is random and not that circular.
  13. Went back today to cut the grass and noticed the back lawn is starting to go like the front now. Took a much closer photo today. See if this helps with a id of the problem.
  14. It would be best to say where you live, so then we can help.
  15. Thanks guys - Will take a closer photo today.
  16. Can you tell me if this is red thread on this lawn. I cut the grass every 2 weeks for this customer and never noticed it before. But come yesterday it looked horrid. Also what do i need to do to get it looking better.
  17. Anyone interested in sorting this out for me cash waiting
  18. Lets be honest most of these chipper hire with operator adds are bait and switch type stuff.
  19. I am after a used CS100 if any one is thinking of selling. Please PM me. Thanks Paul
  20. Love the jockey wheel set up - must make it a lot easier to move about I reckon.
  21. Cant edit above. Its apple tree stump not a pallet
  22. Sorry forgot the photos and the stump is in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands
  23. Tried to drag this out with chains and my truck. Could not shift it. So can I have a price for grinding of one of you guys. Access is good just got to remove a fence panel and gravel board and in you go. Stump is a pallet and about 18 inches across- see photo. Cash on completion, no receipt needed. Message me please.
