  1. Thanks Gray, I know Richard from RGB. He doesnt do self drive as he has huge machines, I would prefer a smaller bobcat type mulcher. Needs to be fairly small to get through the dense trees. Plus Rich is a mare to get hold off lol.
  2. Thread moved to large equipment. Admin please delete, sorry I posted in wrong place
  3. Hi, Im thinning out my 15acre woodland, I would like to ideally rent a small forrestry mulcher or may purchase one, I need to tidy the place up. Its flat land. Im in no great rush either. I also have a 5 ton digger so would considder a mulching head, plus a 30hp tractor so possibly a small PTO mulcher. Im open to suggestions. Thanks in advance.

  5. I have too noticed today that my log stack of ash too has tiny holes in them, never noticed them before. I best investigate further
  6. I know its a bit late now however Im 8 miles away from Harrogate. I have plenty of timber but never made a swedish candle before
  7. Actually I think my mill is 1 of yours TCF, the old Pro track chainsaw mill in green.
  8. Where have I heard that before Thanks for your advice guys, I'll have a good look at the bar.
  9. Hi, I have a chainsaw mill on tracks however I need to attach a chainsaw bar. I have a Stihl 084 with a 30inch stihl bar. Can anyone suggest where not to drill the bar? Can I drill in between the rivets on the nose where the roller goes?
  10. Are you still after some hardwood? I am local.
  11. Hi, are you still interested in some ash? I own 15 acres that I am currently thinning, 50% is ash and a good chunk is in your size range. I am based in North Yorkshire, nearish to york. It has roadside access and I have extraction equipment. We could even cut them for you. Felling licences are in place already. Drop me a pm if you wish to chat and we can go from there. Regards Andy
  12. Are you sorted? I have a fair bit of Ash in 5 & 10ft lenths. Also loads of spruce in 10ft lengths. All pretty much upto 15". All taken out of my woodland. Im about 40mile away near boroughbridge near A1.
  13. I have a Japa 300 & 370, I am considdering fitting a Oregon Powersharp bar setup. This way it should make sharpening easier, consistant and less downtime. Both machines are running .325 chains however the powersharp only do 3/8 chains so would need to change the sproket to 3/8. Japa do the 3/8 sprocket hower seem very expensive at £42.40 + P&P + vat. Can anyone else reccomend a supplier, its using a 1:8 european taper & 9 teeth. Also does anyone have experience on the powersharp on a processor? Thanks in advance.
  14. What engine are you running? Petrol or Derv? I have a Japa 300 with a derv engine, when I purchased it the battery was crap and always needed jump leads. Put an new battery on on (biggest I could fit on the tray) and always starts straight away. I leave it months and month and still starts first time. The pull start is very stiff but never used it, it also has a decompression valve on the head to help the pull start. If its a petrol and it runs fine but bad to start I would check the battery, leads are clean, earth is good, spark plug is good. If its a petrol pull start shouldnt be too hard to pull so may need a strip down & clean. Processor Manual is here http://apacheforest.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Japa-300-manual.pdf Also google the make of engine to get a engine manual as will give better info.
