  1. just read the post and will be watching tonight when kids are in bed fair comments lads can i use pulley with vt as i do with my soft strop if so which would be the best pulley ?
  2. hi people as the title suggests im after a flip line i know some people don't use them some people do i would buy one but as i don't do massive amounts of climbing just yet cant justify splashing out on one just yet and find using soft strops a pain in the bum can anyone help out a fellow arborist if not then not to worry cheers Phil

  10. hi peopel just out of intrest what would you lads charge for a small amount of chipping to be done 30-40 min work all brash stacked butt end at front of property easy acess for chipper nothing more than 2 inch in diamiter to send thru chipper cheers phil
  11. i know what you mean i was taught to use my free end of my rope of branch walking but didn't gel with me i use laynard and foot loops if slippy and no where to grab on to ( forks etc ) and have a spare laynard made up on my harness if needed for better work positioning ) climb upto a limb strap in on side d rings with body weight supporting my throw up to next limb clip in and repeat until you are at your final anchor point unless you can get a throw line in makes life so much easier

Was watching a vid of someone on a rec climb saw him use a pulley as a friction cambion saver in his final anchor point is this possible and does any one use it if so what kind of pulley do you use and I am guessing you have to retrive it before you get out of the tree as I can see no way of retrieving it from the ground cheers Phil
  21. cod liver oil im only 26 n my knees ache it really helps i hurt more if i have done a day on turfing in summer
