  10. Wf59ph 07445043011 01924 671657 Dear Sir I was wondering if you could help me I am currently taking my arborist Training at Askham Bryan Collage I have already achieved my maintenance and cross cutting (cs30) and felling and processing trees up to 380mm (cs31) I am due to take my felling and processing over 380mm (cs32) week commencing Monday 25th November.(all NPTC ) I am also taking my aerial rescue and accessing a tree using rope and harness week commencing Monday 9th December. And I am hoping to take my use of a chainsaw from a tree early next year. I have achieved the Lantra wood chipper and Brush cutter courses I am after some experience work to help build and develop my skills and knowledge and would like to join a team that is hard working and willing to teach me as much as possible on top of what I have gained at collage. My name is Philip Dews and I am 25 years old I worked for an automotive engineering company for the best part of 6 years before getting made redundant due to cost cutting throughout the company this gave me the wakeup call I needed and the chance and drive to follow my dream career, I have a family with 4 young children I am a hard worker that loves to get involved and learn from other peoples experiences and gain their knowledge. I have a full UK driver’s licence that is 100% clean I have all my own PPE (chainsaw boots, chainsaw trousers and helmet with ear and face protection) If you have any work available I would be grateful if you could consider me I do not mind if it is full time or part time I can come as self-employed as an option as well. I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you can help me. If you wish to talk to me about anything in this letter or have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me either via e mail or on the phone numbers at the top. Kind Regards Philip Dews

  19. i have been sat hear for the last few days just sat in amaze how much ruffled feathers this has caused H-A i 100% agree with you you hit the nail on the head can we all sit hear and say that we have done everything 100% by the book every single day of our life's be it using a chainsaw or something completely different and as for having a ticket to use a chainsaw up a tree it may be the dealers desecration to ask for your ticket but that be the case then e bay should make it mandatory to provide the seller with proof of tickets and as H-A says where do you stop with all the red tape as by law you can use a chainsaw at the age of 16 and no one can stop you im 25 a family man who values my life as much as anyone else does i am not one of these idiots who thinks a chain saw is a new "toy" they are powerful machines that deserve the up most respect weather you are using on the ground or 80 foot up in a tree safety comes first paramount all i wanted to know from you guys was the best recommendation for a top handle chain saw some if not most have given me the answer i wanted and i thank you All for your input and advice but did we really need to take it as far as we have done ? if i knew it was going to cause all this i would never have put it cheers phil
  20. If I am honest I wouldn't even think about useing it up a tree until one I had got my ticket and two I had been supervised by my boss for a good year to make sure I was confident with it and he was happy I was useing it safely after all an accident 60 foot up is far more difficult to deal with then on the ground I just want to get one to get hsed to it amnd get a good feel of how it works etc if you are not stupid and have sensible head on then I dont see the issue personally
