  2. seen as there are no arb shops anywhere near where i live i have found this for my main climbing line it the right diamiter and static semi static can have your advice before i commit and buy cheers Beal Antipodes Semi-static Rigging/Caving Rope 10mm (Sold by the metre) | GO Outdoors i allready have some of this to practice my knots on and seems good tnx in advance n merry christmas
  3. my apologies if this has been covered i am going to be starting up very soon and after a bit of advice what's the next best saw after sthils and husky i can not afford these at the moment but given 12-24 months i hope to purchase pro saws but can you lads recommend a good saw that can be used regular but is still reliable thanks in advance

  6. well passed my cs32 today so buzzing ye i will agree with you there are some monsters in there no to hear your hinge crack and the thud it makes when it hits the ground very satifying but snedding the is a job in its self
  7. well the felling lience had not come so no angry farmer today so was on big larch trees today off to castle howard tommorow to fell some very large spruce so that should be fun

  9. well started y 32 yesterday and loved it my trainer said that we are moving site today to some big beech trees that need to come out provided the felling licence has come through but warned us that the farmer next to the site is ANTI TREE FELLING so today could be eventful as there are 80 of them to drop wish me look lol
  10. just a quick question i know every big company will be diffrent and i know i prob wont get a definate answer but i will ask anyway do you take your kit home with you (saws or does it go back to the company each day )
  11. Ground work for the min I think got my climbing course st beggining of December so things hopefully will change quickly but I suppose you have to start at the bottom and work your way up
  12. yer i was more bothered about my kids having a good x mas which they can now got a weeks training at collage then start my job the following monday any one had exp on the railways
  13. well after post on hear and several e mails to local lads it has finally paid off start working on the railways not next week the week after cant wait to be finally doing the job i love and getting paid for things are looking up
  14. this must be very recent as i only took my cs30 cs31 3 weeks ago and i was still lantra work books and nptc assessment

From what i can work out they aee both the same but the assessment is nptc at the end I have done my 30 31 and the work book is lantra but the assment criteria is set by nptc with lantra they recommend u take refresh 3 to 5 years also most people employers want nptc as lantra is ita course in other words integrated assment rather than separate I personally would go with nptc over lantra as employers favour it more

  18. Ye been promised full English next week so will be holding him to his word lol
  19. Short courses I personally prefer Sam Jones brill instructor got him next week for felling over 380 mm
