  1. im guessing it got removed lol looked to be getting heated before i went out n now i cant find it
  2. i can assume the all of arb talk members would do necessary checks first i do it all the time just to make sure it don't take 5 min
  3. it might turn out that the tpos have been lifted i do not know untill i call but regardless a tpo is a tpo would you dismantle a tree that had a tpo on it ? only takes a phone call or e mail to find out if it was one may have let it slip but not six trees
  4. no there a set of cow boys no one on here 100% sure of that bud seen them climb trees in shorts and no helmet they don't give a care for rules or health and safety by any stretch of the imagination
  5. safety first in my eyes regardless of what sate the tree is in if you don't feel safe then you are more likely to make mistakes as your mind is not on the job 100% as you are thinking about other things i have bottled out of a tree before only got 1 years exp but if you don't feel comfortable doing it then don't do it simple as that its all experience and learning in the long run
  6. was on my local council website and they have put a map up with all tpo and conservation areas on for our reference having looked on the map near to my house noticed that 6 trees where tpo'd so i cross reference it with Google maps to make sure i have the correct address and that it tied in with the TO map 6 lime trees where dismantled around two months ago and i never thought anything of it till i was looking at the map. call to my local planning office showed that her map they where still TPO'd but to ring back when TO was back in the office to double check Watch this space some one is going to get in trouble just wish i had a photo of them doing it now but never mind hopefully they will have left a paper trail as the house is rented OPPPPPS will keep you updated on what TO says and does
  7. hi people looking for 2-3 days work per week based in wakefield west yorkshire but willing to travel within reason own transport own all my climbing gear ground saw and top saw cs30/31 cs32 cs38 working towards my cs39 eager to work and learn been climbing on and off for 1 year can do simple dismantles useing free fall technique and chogging down please pm me for more info cheers phil

  11. not got one sorry but i was nearly tempted in getting one i just didnt like the muffs look bulky and flimsy but thats my oppion like the colour and a good price but dont know how comfy it will be i got this one Stein Super Plasma Helmet Kit, Hellberg Components | F R Jones and Son

  14. just out of curiosity (sorry if that is spelt wrong ) do people prefer to split their logs by axe and bomb or use a log splitter me personally prefer axe keeps you warm especially on cold days and keeps you healthy and find stood in of a splitter bit boring personally how about you lot

  16. hi people after a bit of advice regarding a log burner now i have a nice pile of logs seasoning thinking of happily away i am looking into getting a log burner im between 7-12 KW to heat the rest of the house as well my main bit of advice i a after is regarding the flue as it will be going up the inside of the existing chimney stack does my flue need to go the full length of the chimney or part way ? also does it need to be a rigid flue or can i use the flexible flue all advice and info welcome cheers phil

Hi people after a bit of advice I am wanting to add a bridge to my harnesses I have two additional rings that would allow me to do so just wonder if it is possible and if so what rope or webbing would you guys suggest and also which knot to tie thanks in advance phil the harness is komet evolution one (old i know but suits me to a tee for the time being ) any advice is welcome my thinking was to either tie a buntline hitch to the existing rings ?? or get two D shackles then tie a fisherman to the shackles ? as for the bridge its self i have some 10mm static rope which i am not 100% sure on or get some 13 mm climbing rope ? feedback and suggestions welcome cheers phil
