  1. Well they are only a broad range indication of the temperature, fitting a threaded insert bolt would be more accurate as your installer could use it to check flue gases. However if you look at the burley mentioned, the flue gas depending on model can be as low as 122c.
  2. What a load of Pollock's 😉
  3. It'll be that pirate of the sea, captain Birdseye working as a mercenary!.
  4. Surely if I was the Russians and I wanted to sabotage my own for lack of a better word cash cow pipeline. Wouldn't it be easier to just send a few divers out to loosen the pipeline bolts, allows it to leak and puts it out of action for long enough for the Germans to get a bit nervous.
  5. It's just vaping without the nicotine 🙂. It shouldn't really become too airborne, and which are you going to be more bothered about, the mineral oil based chain oil getting soaked into the wood shavings, the two stroke exhaust or the tree falling on you ?.
  6. Cheaper than those nobbly condoms 😉
  7. Been using Gator 30 for a while, pretty thick and does the job. Just don't get it touch your face with your glove, whatever the additive causes spots.
  8. And even then, polls mean zero unless they bring the election forward
  9. You can always request a MSDS for the stuff as even if it's special they have to list all ingredients.
  10. And the ensuing abba tune dancing around their heads. Which is probably better than fiddler on the roof.
  11. Roll out my fetching tinfoil hat collection and join a hippy commune to enjoy free love before the apocalypse?.
  12. And what would you on the far right side call yourself ?. Other than delusional
  13. For the sake of a few hundred quid I'd prefer to have someone who can legally sign off the works do it. If the place burns down the original installer will go not my work and your insurance will null you're claim. That's also the same for any chimney sweep, if that's not certified same applies to you're insurance.
  14. I was really wanting to see a post crying out for it's immediate removal, chipped and the ground salted before it turns over night into a giant bean stalk or redwood sequoia ?.
  15. Sadly the English language now allows both these days, a lot of words have become accepted to be interchangeable. Rise of the internet and American TV I guess.
  16. I suppose that's one way to hide the climate change guff from Gretta. Instead of save the planet, it's you minions can't afford to fly, eat or enjoy life. On a lighter note the telegraph was saying gas prices could slump, due to surprise surprise having storage means more stable prices.
  17. And would you believe anyone at the IMF, they're all ex EU types.
  18. Speak to a local installer, maybe send them the picture.
  19. The M25 is one of those horrible things you just can't avoid, it's like putting fuel in the car. You groan but have to get on with it 🙂
  20. They would mostly all be petrol engines, there are a couple of diesel version clones all made on China probably by the same factory. But they all use the same hi/lo rpm pump setup at an ear piercing 3600rpm, ear protection required and if on petrol they are very thirsty 2-3 gallon a day. I'm not knocking them, I've a petrol rock machinery one in the shed as a backup and it's what I started with but soon realised they have a ferocious petrol habit.
  21. What you do with an orange and strimmer line is entirely up to you 😉
  22. Could have also been the personalised dog collar with lost and found address.
  23. I didn't suggest that route but clipperclown did. Photography from a public place is generally considered totally legal, usual common sense rules apply tho. Photography on private property requires permission, which the guy paying him had. Ok the permission wasn't explicitly given for photos, but if your on my property I've given permission so any illegality would be very hard to argue.
  24. It isn't really a law, as technically I'm guessing he's trying to say if it's taken in a public place which is legal Vs private property. But you can't really revoke permission for a worksite after the fact. It would be akin to charging someone for criminal damage to a tree you paid them to remove.
  25. He had guy had permission to be on site tho, as he was working as a sub contractor.
