  1. From what I've watched including the fuelwood version, the size of the ring also decides the size of the finished split. Oakwood firewood YouTube had a splitta, lots of trash from what I saw even on big rings.
  2. I'd probably be knocking on the door asking you to put away the buzzing marital aid and just fire up the petrol saw and get her done.
  3. Noise complaints are an automatic letter and even the council admit neighbours use it as a means of getting a rise out of you. Work within business hours, plus if you get another letter install CCTV. Had one years back and i took great pleasure counting 14 hours of chainsaw one month at 16x speed, neighbours said it was 24/7. Council lady almost laughed herself off her chair and never heard from them again.
  4. I've encouraged absolutely diddly squat, I even suggested a simple repair. It's a public forum so do whatever you wish, but the tree is directly over a garage roof and clearly causing issues with damp hence all the moss.
  5. It's not fraudulent, a tree has damaged an asbestos roof. I'm not trying to put lipstick on a pig, but it needs dealing with and the insurance would want every scrap of the horrible stuff off site. Even my farm insurance has a huge asbestos removal section something like 30k is available, as they want to remove any long term liability.
  6. That is clearly not my suggestion and you know it.
  7. Plus depending on the home owners insurance, it might be worth them claiming weather damage being under the tree and getting it removed and replaced. If they're planning to sell anytime soon with asbestos causes difficulties and devalues the property.
  8. Plus that looks like 3" asbestos cement, circa 1970s. It'll probably all be very brittle as soon as you touch it it'll crack elsewhere. Might be worth trying contact adhesive with a small patch after a bit of jet washing to remove the moss.
  9. I'd love to say something like a wise old oak tree watching the world pass me by like the robin hood tree. But, it's probably more likely to be an Ash tree with a touch of die back ?.
  10. Some weird high end sex chair ?, Call it a chaise dong?
  11. So you want to pump hot air around the house using a glorified aquarium air pump at "60lpm".
  12. Modified how tho, surely that's the same with most insurance companies?.
  13. Not at all, it's not a special club with a weird handshake.
  14. Obviously speak to a local stove/heating engineer, but 5kw gives you a starting point. It's all about keeping the heat in the stove tho, best looking at something like a laddomat or similar. Let's the radiators sip the heat and maintains boiler efficiency
  15. I'll put this politely, that's far too large without a huge 1500 litre buffer tank and expansion tank. It's not like a gas boiler system that can cycle on and off. Whilst that might be 30kw, a stove needs to be able to run without overheating or exploding as it needs to dissipate heat somewhere. If you also read the listing, it doesn't meet current regulations. Anything that large is going to eat wood like it's going out of fashion, I run a 25kw Angus and it'll eat a wheelie bin a day. Best say 10kw max and just supplement the existing system.
  16. Before we all go down rabbit hole and warrens of discussions, maybe find a model of fireplace with a backboiler. From what I remember they are a bit few and far between especially if they meet the current smoke regulations and modern eco design requirements.
  17. Why am I imagining the fight club recall scene.
  18. Same with Sky, AA and a lot of these companies. Surely someone better paid than I can also realise if they didn't take liberties and just added a couple of percent, all these comparisons site would go out of business and we wouldn't need to ring every year to moan about the price. Which always mysteriously shrinks, I know they are probably relying on those people who don't even balk at the auto renewal but that must be a small percentage?.
  19. Try LV for anything domestic, always been pretty reasonable including business use and every family member just incase for about £389 fully comp.

Maybe create your own topic and lump all the pictures etc together ?.
  21. Ring NFU for anything commercial or agricultural. Lost nothing and they won't spam you will all these emails which always mysteriously start when you shop around on comparison sites.
  22. Certainly agree it's about right, assuming it's HT sheep netting with three HT lines of plain wire. Most fencing guys won't touch mild steel which is cheap for a reason but horrible, HT is shockingly expensive but lasts and can be tensioned. You're paying for speed at the end of the day, you can always go cheaper but they'll space the posts further and it'll look awful quicker.
  23. So you want Scotland to keep and use all the energy, whilst we below the border actually prop up your electric network ?. You need what's known as base load to actually use the "renewable", which if memory serves is mostly produced outside of Scotland.
  24. Don't mention the ferry, don't mention the ferry.
