  1. You can claim all your accountants fees.
  2. You can't claim sunglasses as they have a duel purpose. If they are safety glasses with tinted lenses then yes you can. Straight out of the accountants mouth sitting next to me on the sofa.
  3. Nice selection of bags down at GO OUTDOORS large discounts just brought the 65ltr one for £14
  4. My father in law was out having a walk in a local park, when he came across a group of Indian gentlemen all busy collecting horse chestnuts from under the canopy of a large tree, being older and a fair bit nosey he asked them what they were up to. Turns out, you guessed it, they wanted them to take home and cook:001_rolleyes: so he pointed out their mistake and showed them what a sweet chestnut was.
  5. This is exactly what I want, but can I get one with 3500 kg gvw.
  6. Ok so the two bits to decide on are probably engine and wheel base. And the budget is closer to £30,000 if I'm honest.
  7. So are we all stuck in the 300 tdi era. Is this not just an old oil burner. Does anyone know of one fitted with some newer technology. I've had a v8 petrol before a 300 tdi and a td5 I can see the easy nature (mend it with some fence wire ) 300 thinking. But what about an izuzu engine or land cruiser ?
  8. Nope not at all keep the bloody hairy hound out of my truck. The hilux we use at the mo has no nob on the hi lo stick and no end on the indicator, due to a bored dog.
  9. Ok chaps Need to buy a new truck but can't make up my mind on a few things so opinions please. Here's a few items I need please add how you would have it. Please note this is something I will have built up so it does not have to be standard at all design it how you think they should have done it. Budget upto £25,000 4x4. Must have Tipper. Must have Engine. you choose Wheelbase. You choose Chassis. You choose Body style. You choose Tipper body material. You choose And any other bits you can think of. And who do I get to build it? Cheers Russ.
  10. I don't normally give much praise out. But that was very well done,
  11. If it's a real good idea, I would think the last place you would go would be is Dmm or petzl if they thought it was any good they would tell you it's crap and then make it themselves. Is this something you want to make for yourself or put into production. If production you need to get it protected every thing these days gets ripped off. If for you self tou need to get a cad drawing done and get it to an engineer.
  12. Matty F. When you say you would like to see them in your backyard, do you actually mean your back yard or do you mean the surrounding area where you walk the dog and take in that wonderful view. If they were 75m from your back door dropping 300mm diameter ash and willow at a rate of 1 new tree every 3 days you may not like them as much. I really wish the powers that be would think these things through a bit more. The only tree we haven't lost at the mo are beech. We have had to mesh up the trunks of a couple of hundred trees. I just think we cannot turn this country back to what it was years ago it has changed to much and there are parts of the country were certain types of wildlife just won't fit back in. Please don't think I'm some kind of animal hater as I'm not, I just think certain things fit in and others don't.
  13. Have you seen the damage they are doing? Especially on private property. If I walked into your back garden and felled a 300mm ash and took it home for my fire, I think you would be slightly peeved. Yet a little furry creature can get away with this (apart from the fire bit ) and joe public think it's really cute.
  14. They are getting to be a pain around my way. I can see beaver burgers on the specials board down my local very soon.
  15. I think bob will need to re think his price if he tips there david. Shocking prices.
  16. No thanks. Is this based on the toro machine?
  17. My mate just bought one of the new mini blocks. Can anyone shed some light on what the funny piece of cloth is that came with it.
  18. What exactly do you want to shift. The arb trolly is good for brush, long timber and rings. But if you only want it for rings your better off with a sack truck, not a cheap b+q piece of shite but a proper one with large size tyres to float over the grass. We have an arb trolly and it works well for long drags of brush as you don't leave a big trail of crap all over the lawn saves loads on the clean up. But I find it heavy to big to fit through lots of gates takes up to much room on the truck and stupidly overpriced. You could buy that new orange one that's just hit the market if you want a poorly made version of the original. It is probably a life saver on 10% of our jobs, just another bit of kit that is very job specific.
  19. Send them a bill for the tpo application at the very least.
  20. I have been looking for weeks, so I took some measurements and brought one of e bay for a skoda £50 I then had to cut a small flange of the bottom and it fitted a treat took about 2 hours to fit. I will see if I can take a pick tomorrow.
  21. Evening. So I was playing with my new zigzag and found the bottom attachment point allowed the karabiner to rotate around so I cut a small piece of soft rubber pipe and pushed it in the hole the karabiner is now nice and snug but still has movement as the rubber is very soft. So please give me your thoughts good and bad, don't hold back, Cheers Russ.
  22. Well ill be buggered just learnt something new, I thought the short webbing link was to position the grab further away from the body so you could get your hand to it easier.
