  11. hi guys just need a quick advice please. i have art lockjack for loler inspection and with no tracebility as it was bought second hand but had clutch and friction plate recently been replaced.i have failed it due to overall condition nd age of body as well as ofcourse service life acording to manufacturer instruction ..just read in instruction manual that ART gives 5 year service life from first use?!! "If this equipment is used as intended the service life of metal elements under consideration of all manufacturing information is a maximum of 5 years after using for the first time. The maximum service life of textile elements (insofar as these exist) is 5 years." also when was lockjack first realed as i cant seemed to find any info about it but acording to instructions reading serial number this device was manufactured in 2003:confused1: that seems wrong to me .any ideas ?Thanks

  17. I suppose it would be pointless to say dont ask an arborist at this point you seemed to be keen to learn how to get on a tree for future as well so just be safe and cautious and make sure you have clipped on at all times dont go cocky and free climb to show of your mates. Mate of mine just fell only 15ft and managed to broke both arms fractured skull and one of his bones popped out of his elbow.his been rock climbing for a while and been climbing tree s for a while but meant to be going to course in a a few week but Instead he will be recovering so be careful and let us know how you get on👍🏼
