  2. ok sat here watching some rspc program. and the bloke went and did a cat rescue climbs a ladder into a conifer tree "working at height " no harness on we go near a tree like that and its death by firing squad

  5. haha yes iam careful and i had a few good deals but not got anything big off it as of yet . think if i find something good and it looks good will have to go drive it or dig a hole with it shame ebay has gone like it has some good blokes on there selling good kit but overshadowed by the fakes just have to put the man hours in

Just want to put this question out there ? i spend a lot of time looking on ebay am after a new tractor and mini digger among other kit. i am not soft and if its too good to be true it normally is. However I do messaged loads of the so called deals never had a reply yet wonder has anyone ever got a decent deal and is it just me thinking ebays getting more and more like a con man's paradise

  10. we do a lot of work for some village trusts and constantly hitting scaffold poles embedded in the stumps and trees which is a right laff !:thumbup: When i was a young groundworker i was digging a trench for an extension on the front of a house with a machine and the top blokes from the electric board had been lazy and lay the electric cable in the flower bed along the drive massive bang puff of smoke and an naughty score in the bucket.
  11. iam no geek when it comes to chainsaws and by no means an expert one the workings of chainsaws but i have used a ms200 that looked like it could very easy be swapped back to a top handle and stihl are pretty versatile like
  12. yes i understand that they will never see the light of day and i know my old man since hes been doing it 35 years and i think he has show his like twice but after spending a long time doing all my chainsaw and climbing qualifications and spending a few quid on it all blar blar would of been nice to have a decent ID card anyways it is what it is nice easy day stump grinding tomorrow am sure i will get over it

  15. i know it so shoddy though ? mite have to get some "fake real ones" made up and carry them and have the stickers at home in the office.
  16. My ID cards came the other day from NPTC and there not even ID cards there stickers at the bottom of the frigging certificates what's that all about ? Anyone know if i can apply to have proper ID cards made up maybe pay for them ?! :confused1::thumbdown:

  19. well i would consider 4 damaged clips on 4 different saws to be a lot one of which i have seen with my own eyes and the guy who owns it definitely does not abuse his equipment. as your man joe loggs said we work in a arduous environment and the equipment we use should stand up to a minimum standard. I.E from time to time the saw gets dropped snagged etc not on purpose this just happens. all iam intending on doing is finding out what people think befor i buy one however i may just get one bubble wrap it and baby sit it up in the tree
  20. has anyone had an update what is happening with the 150 t have stihl fixed the problem yet ? is it a small % of the saws though normal "abuse"? i appreciate that most of you dont abuse your saws but you know what i mean
  21. hi iam also hearing nothing but good things about the ms 150 t HOWEVER i am aware of the clip on a lot of them giving in dose anyone know if this problem has been rectified yet ?

  23. mate speak to a guy called Richard Olley he runs Kingswood Training Services down in Shipbourne Tonbridge kent i am in the army and did my resettlement down with him hes got a good set up am up in liverpool and its worth the 4 hour drive mite be worth giving him look plus you can get work to pay for it thats what i did
