  2. Hi the makita one comes with a 9mm belt but you can buy a 13mm end for it not cheap but I would be lost without my filling sander

  9. So I just visited Stephen Culls website to price up some new bands for my mill and F##k me theres a picture of an elephant by his woodmizer now thats the best way of loading logs onto the mill I have seen ,I will have to ask him about it in the morning when I order some bands

Wow thats expensive I just downloaded mine for free someone on hear yrs ago put up a link its a good book ,but just doing it is the best I had one go on a mates cut like half a slab the got myself an 880 and 4ft alaskan and off I went obviously I made mistakes but loved it from the start even though I dont use the alaskan much any more I would never get rid

Hi I have a winch and its still in the box used it once and like Saul says I rather have the feel of the mill going through the log as its not always full revs sometimes you need to go easy to get round a lump in the log or you hit a hard bit one thing try and get a way to easily raise the log so as you come past say the middle point you are not on your knees killing your back I got an old doctors bench with a hydrolic jack in it its a bit of a faf to get the log onto it but saved my back its up for free if anyone wants it as now I have the hm130 I dont do much alaskan milling saying that I have a big willow to do ,its going for cello backs .   12. Um instructions there was assembly instructions ,but not sure much else will have to have another look tomorrow ,found some Castrol GTX in the workshop so I think that should do for the engine oil

Hi Lez,we make everything from chopping boards to beds,coffee tables ,benches,mirrors one of our statement pieces is a treasure chest made from a big log hollowed out with some cool reclaimed handles and hinges and we mix in some chainsaw carvings Owls, are a good seller and some of my girlfriends Stained Glass

  21. Yeah facebook market place etc is a must our daughter just lent us her posh camera so we can take good photos ,I am just not that good with facebook etc but will have to work it out

  24. Hi I have one and did find the same thing a few yrs ago so a fellow chainsaw carver told me to just get belt sander belts and cut them down and I have now done that for yrs and yrs and not had hardly any problems with belts snapping , thin belts from screwfix are total rubbish
  25. I was watching a program about Bats dieing out en masse and then I was thinking we used to get bats in our garden etc but notso much this year and guess what bats eat loads of mozzies maybe a connection
