  1. Sorry, I meant integrate in a wider sense.... ie, acknowledging the fact that Planet Earth doesn't begin and end in the UK. cheers, steve
  2. Oh yes, sorry.... The scale of it all is staggering. Greening of the Desert is required on a massive scale - shame we don't spend all that bomb money on something like that! cheers, Steve
  3. I like the sound of your trumpet. I think it might be positive to look at how WE integrate with people from other areas of the world as much as how they integrate with us. cheers, Steve
  4. All sounds good to me - unfortunately they don't seem to have much left to return to.... a five year drought has already parched a huge percentage of agricultural regions and that climate pattern is predicted to get worse, not better. Cheers, steve
  5. Trolling and being disrespectful to other people's thoughts feelings is only going to cause upset. Moving along nicely now.... We've been considering practical support. Cheers, steve
  6. Bomb the hell out of ISIS and then they can go back home.... but back to what? Trying to follow what is going on in Syria and why? This comic will get you there in 5 minutes.
  7. Not strictly true - I remember seeing distressing images before we ever had the internet. Mostly via library books & photo library images, and I've also seen a number of shocking photos taken by friends in the forces. The internet is just a faster and wider method of communicating. It's not just one little boy. Sadly. cheers, steve
  8. Exactly. Following the Arbtalk General Election Poll I'm not surprised at some of the self-interested inward looking responses.
  9. That also explains why the BBC and UKGov have been so persistent in calling them "migrants" rather than "refugees". I mean we can't have refugees boarding a plane in Syria and coming straight to the UK can we!
  10. And that explains why the BBC and UKGov have been so persistent at calling those desperate people "Migrants" rather than "refugees". Good share Rich, Thankyou very much.
  11. I didn't know that Rich, thanks for the info. Good call.
  12. I know it's not arb related, please delete or keep this thread as you see fit.... Has anyone else seen the photos of the drowned refugee children? I don't need to post them here, search google to see them. It's such a sorry situation and I feel ashamed of our government... doing so little to offer support/ a temporary home, to even a small percentage of these desperate people. Sadly, the refugee fleeing situation is set to continue for some time. What can we do? cheers, Steve
  13. I'm still waiting to find out if the Florabest strimmer has less vibrations than the Stihl, Echo or Husky equivalent..... long shot but that would make me larf.
  14. Not sure how the vibrations figures would compare with your Echo? It does vibrate at the cow-horns when on full throttle but feels okay with padded gloves, but the majority of the time it is on half throttle or less. Here's the Florabest strimmer vibration data....
  15. Nowt wrong with a Berlingo if it is kept well serviced, I've found the same goes for any mechanical equipment. We're using the strimmer commercially on our own farm - initially to get the grassy paths in between raised beds under control.... about 2 acres of those. I'll also be giving it a blast through a mountain of bramble in the winter and for clearing smaller woody bits at the edge of our woods. I'm not saying it's up to the same standard as an oober expensive Stihl, Echo, Husqy, etc.... but I wouldn't hesitate to use it under the same conditions. Good idea to paint it orange.... but it would have to be Husky orange, not Stihl Orange. cheers, steve
  16. ....rips! Picked one out of the Lidl avenue of dreams today for £90.... just £90! £90! with a 3 year warranty. It starts well, first pull and absolutely rips on full revs! It surprised me. If it only lasts one season, or two seasons....then I can take it back for repair or replacement And at only £90 whats not to like about that?! Produktdetails
  17. Could be hilarious to see some results.... so long as it's done safely.
  18. Yes, it's bit of a Krypton Factor video!.... you can see what the final result is, here's a couple of cuts, now work out the rest. cheers, steve
  19. First priority is to look after yourself mentally & physically. Hard physical work always wears people out, and at all kinds of ages. Its not not so easy to visualise how a different career might make you feel, but I've found (with hindsight) a career change can be more rewarding than what you were doing before. Variety is the spice of life (so is a good curry)! Never really believed in good luck because you can make your own, but good luck.... cheers, Steve
  20. Not sure how to embed the video?
  21. I didn't know that but I'm not surprised. Cheers
  22. You were stuck in a traffic jam and somebody came up to sell you a bunch of roses but fell in love with you and insisted you had them for free?....
  23. Unfortunately it doesn't mean they won't be applying again Jon. They won't stop for the love of money. cheers, steve
  24. It's not just happening in the political world of fracking.... another example is UKGov allowing neonicotinoids to be used again (very soon) with the meetings being held behind closed doors & not publishing the minutes. Low and behold somebody makes a freedom of information request and the government is being advised/swayed by the company that produces the toxic substance. UKgov has backwardly evolved into a Democratic-Dictatorship. Cheers, Steve
