  3. Cottage next door to me has one , two feet from my garden hedge and eight feet from our bedroom back wall . I can report that unless it's windy the noise is pretty brutal ! I asked for it to be moved , no chance due to cost . So I have bought sheets of sound proof material and I'm going to line my back wall of our bedroom and attic above the room . Laugh is next door neighbour told my wife the electricity bill is four times what it was , due to the fact it runs 24/7 hope they run out of money and we'll get some peace .
  4. I sold my 357 for a 560 and can highly recommend it , with a 15" bar it's a beast . TS
  5. Husky genuine , changed on a stihl never broke another , maybe just bad luck who knows . 560 does not half rev though !
  6. I've a husky 395 xp I would highly recommend it . I run a 28" and a 36" bar on it with no problems . Cheers
  7. I've got 2x 346 xp and xpg both done a power of work . I suspect you have some other problem as Spud says , you need a clued up tech ASAP mate .

  9. Hi , just to say bought a Echo HCR161ES today went to get a 171ES but the guy had none left , so went with the 161 , 10cm shorter blade , anyway all seems good . Thanks . TS
  10. Just to chime in , I broke a .325 chain last year , now running on stihl chains with no problems since . No heated handles just gloves in me gloves , 560 xp is a beast in my view . Cheers .
  11. I've got an HS80 for big stuff , I'm looking for something light , for trimming not a too long 20" , 22" ish . Cheers.
  12. My old Kawasaki hedge trimmer died today . I popped into a Stihl dealer on the way home and had a look , fancied the HS 46 ce , the guy says they are excellent , but he would !! Any recommendations ?

  14. For the record , blooter means one hits the object as hard as possible with anything heavy that's handy . Hope this helps .
  15. I always use plastic , mostly 8 or 10 inch and blooter them with a 5 lb club hammer , works for me !
  16. Dunno , I'm on my second set of airstreams only ever wore Haix before that . Scafell look the part though .
  17. I use a stanley one , much better than the stihl one I had .
  18. Try before you buy , I love my komet butterfly , find it comfy .
  19. I've a Oregon Powermatch 15" on my 560 xp , I recon it's better than the original .
