  1. Aye, you're right, he did! Sleep well.
  2. Yes, usually a floor vent close to stove or a wall vent in the area, helps to lessen draughts getting drawn throughout house a bit too. Sometimes vents are connected directly to stove, probably the best method, but others may know better.
  3. I think the ad is good, looks like a small, caring family business, most log buyers will be looking for a good deal, there will be the odd one or two worried about conservation etc, but the majority will be looking for a good deal, sad but true!
  4. Would like to LEAF through that material.
  5. The axe or maul are only part of the job, if you hit the ring in the wrong place it doesn't matter what you're swinging, it won't go through! Your "eye" is at the very least 80% of your splitting ability.
  6. Why is there no lid on the cistern?
  7. Love it Kev, in your "study", studying Arbtalk!
  8. You have skyhucks approval!! I'm envious of how well you will sleep tonight Mr Johnson.;-)
  9. If you have no money worries, no Mrs worries and no stress, then you are finished with life before its finished with you! You've peaked too soon old boy.
  10. I'd have to wholeheartedly agree with that!
  11. Went for a spin out an old track to a settlement abandoned in the clearances, pics are pretty crap, nice place though. A tree or two as well.
  12. Phoenix would make perfect sense, as in "Phoenix from the ashes", new life from old!
  13. I'm afraid so Stephen, I say what I see! If that doesn't sit well with you then that's a shame, I apologise! It'll take a while but you will eventually get over yourself.
  14. Not simples at all, " the pretend friends"???? Are you a celebrity?? Look at your post then look at yourself.
  15. A brilliant comment indeed! No offence mr humphries👍 That's the way it is! As mr Hornsby would say!
  16. Only problem there is that the things that cause it are usually work, which is not something you want to stop doing, for obvious reasons.
  17. If you do in fact play tennis, I'd give it up for a week or two!

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
