  1. What did you learn from the video that you didn't know before?
  2. Who said nothing could be learned?
  3. Substitute tree man for any man!
  4. No interest in baying for blood from me either, as I've pointed out already, if you are already in the industry and you have to look at this vid to learn something[emoji79], what the hell are you doing at the moment if this video teaches you something? To learn something from this video, you'd have to be as thick as two short planks before you watched it surely? Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  5. No back doors [emoji107][emoji107][emoji1361][emoji1532] Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  6. Mistakes were made? Yes, every possible mistake was made!
  7. Is that a serious question? Jeez, I'm losing all hope!
  8. Couldn't agree more with that post greed is very damaging! Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  9. Think it was on here that someone was talking about planting trees when a sprogg was born, might be a boring compared to coke and prostitutes but probably longer lasting and easier to talk about when the kid is eighteen.
  10. Plant a tree in your garden for them.
  11. Sanding sounds like the thing to do then polish to remove sanding marks or splitting it thinner as paint has soaked in! No idea really! How thick are slabs?
  12. Of course we make mistakes, but a professional company (allegedly) pulling a shambles like that is unjustifiable. How can anyone watch that and say there is lessons to be learned? At best it could be described as highly dangerous and extremely stupid.🙄
  13. It's like something that should happen to Mr DIY whose just bought himself his first chainsaw! But it's a real tree company😳😳😳, and on this thread other tree folk are saying "we can learn from this"😳😳😳😳😳😱 That's quite scary.
  14. Are you promoting the OPs video as good/average practice?
  15. Aye you're right, let's hope they're " brainfart" fans!!
  16. Surely the longer you've been in the game the less likely it is to happen, although we do all make mistakes. To the untrained eye the whole thing looked an utter shambles.
  17. I'm no tree feller but the truck was only ever going to pull towards the road it was on and how was it going to direct a tree falling towards it without going flat out? Surely the pull should have been from the right hand side of vid. Lucky nobody was hurtz
  18. One from a local agri show, really nice, pic doesn't do detail justice
  19. I see where you are coming from, you're equating common sense with a wood burner and the fuel you put in it!! To be fair, the majority of stove owners bought them as a fashion accessory, therefore are clueless.
  20. With ground source can't you just drill straight down, rather than trenches, it removes the need for land space. Not sure about the costings of either method tbh.
