  1. Thanks, not sure what's caused it as I always flip the bar, clean the saw after every use. Did give the Rollermatic a good clean and oil. Guessing maybe the bearing has gone in the tip as the noise was a seriously screech.
  2. Thanks for the comment, I NEVER Run a slack chain on my NONE carving saws. I was always trained to not have slack in the chain. I actually struggle to run my Echo with Dime Tip on a slack chain.
  3. Thanks, recently bought an Echo off Rob , his help and advice was superb. Will be ordering a couple of bar n chains.
  4. Thanks, normally flip the bar after each clean and sharpen. Did notice roller was seized lat week with sawdust so gave it a good clean n oil to get it running free.
  5. Chain was normal tension as I hate running saw with a slack chain, it was doing a few plunge cuts into Alder and I noticed it started to get a bit more noisy than usual. So stopped to clean the saw and sharpen chain when I noticed the Bar.
  6. Damn I wondered why it was sparking so much:biggrin: Carving some Alder and Silver Birch and not really running it at any way near full pelt.
  7. Ms150 was noisy this morning, bar was oiling well. When I looked closer bar tip has started to change shape. Really not sure why as it's only been getting light use for carving. Is it time to order a new bar? Any advice most welcome.
  8. Like it,. Are you carving on the side of the road? I was thinking of carving from my trailer by simply driving out onto the Moss here in West Lancs, as carving in the garden is wrecking the lawn.
  9. Can't come across better than that, great advert for you, skill and talent.

  13. Had mine for 25 plus years, use it occasionally for the dirty jobs that I don't want to use Stihls on. Got it out the other day to drop a trunk that was so rotten it was drawing soil through its centre. Haven't used the saw for a good 10 months and the beaut started first time.
  14. Thanks Si, yup they are more chicken drumstick,, had four coats of oil n bri wax to add to the colour. You steered me right with the Echo.
  15. Haha, not yet. Many thanks. Catch up soon!
  16. First attempt at a hare, fell off the jaw horse and cracked across the head. He was heading for the fire but friend asked for him. So he's gone to a new home.
  17. Good Man, glad you enjoyed it and showed good sense, in my book it's always best to live, enjoy and try another day. Any pics of your walk .
  18. Many thanks, like everyone else can't wait for the light nights to start rolling in and for some dry days so I can crack on and improve.
  19. Thank you, means a lot. Just ordered some yellow and amber glass to make the eyes more realistic.
