  5. The reason mine needed a picke as it needed to all be lowered but there was no decent lower point as for the ash its down to the climber but for £3-4 hundred quid why risk it.. The other guy may think its a straight fell. Who knows not interested in a debate if I'm honest. Cheers

That's fair enough, need to get the question in about neighbours side then. That would be good to do them all but don't let him put you in promise land as this will get you thinking "go in cheap and ill be doing the lot" I made that mistake once and once only.
  11. Priced a big pine takedown once in the top found it was rot a good 6-8 foot hollow in fact couldn't lower anything so had to tell the customer it was going to be an extra £330 for a 27mtr picker.. Luckily she said "ok then when we had it topped previously the tree surgeon said it was rot" could of pointed that out before 3 of us traveled an hour to site lol. Sat around from 8:30-12:30 then picker arrived and smashed it late finish.. But no loss

Hourly rate hedge trimming £45 hour for two men this works well with smaller hedges but this one without seeing growth on it (not that you can hit them hard anyway) I would prob say £180-£220 check the width as the top can catch you out if you don't scout it out properly. As for kit you don't need a chainsaw for hedge trimming! Also if its a boundary hedge ask of they want the neighbours side doing as there usually make an appearance if there in and say "the side gates open for when you want to do my side" leaving you to be the one to say its not being done.. Shouldn't take a day mate. Ash
  14. I had a call first thing on a Sunday morning someone had flown a remote controlled helicopter into a tree in a local park.. "How much do you think it would cost we don't have much money on us" I didn't go. Did feel like saying what's the helicopter worth ha
  15. We've established that now I think
  16. If it just spits and pops like chestnut there is no worry about oils etc in chimney? (Question not being sarcastic)
  17. I have been led to believe it is like Leylandii.. "Gum tree" and all. From fresh cut to 8% must be slow?
  18. Missed the dead bit of that thread! It's always a touch when the customer says they want the logs when you know it's shite for burning! Nice job.
  19. Eucalyptus are the worst logs..
