  1. Oh yeah, it needs to blow the 200t away, I love husqy, and my only stihl is a 200t, but I use the 338 in preference, also had a 335, but bad fuel killed it, I'm hoping the 540 is as good as the hype, and I think they aught to hurry up before stihl figure out a cure for the 201
  2. I was told November at the APF, then when I saw a husqy rep at the local dealer was told feb, and since then the dealer was told after feb, so I don't think husqvarna know, it's been pending since 2010 though really
  3. Yeah 450 will cut a few trees down, used a 35cc to fell up to 3' wide so it shouldn't be a problem, it's not a pro saw, so don't expect it to fly through trees, or last long if you thrash it. As for the ms170 I assume its for light pruning and hedge laying, isn't up to much else
  4. I think it's pick a year and add 20 to it, I recon I will be retired before they release it:lol:
  5. It doesn't matter, they chop and change the carbs around like nobody's business, give it another couple of months and they'll whack a different one on, they're usually the same carb kits
  6. Chain gauge is how wide the drive links are between the rails
  7. 550xp is in the same size range as the 346xp, but I would go for the 560 personally. I want one of those guide bar covers with the flames
  8. Well gardenkit, I'm converting to aspen for my tools, just not using enough at a time to justify pump petrol, as I've had 2 saws seize in 2011, and very wary of stale fuel now, from what you've said aspen sound like a safe option
  9. To be fair I couldn't be arsed too much with tuning the saw in, it was difficult to tach and get the screwdriver in at the same time, didn't bother with the high revs, just riched it up so it wouldn't lean seize, comp is high at 175psi hot, the saw has been used and abused, brakes knackered, exhaust has a bolt snapped on it, etc. he just wanted it to rev up without bogging, so that's what I did
  10. Well, went out and got a US cleaner, stuck the carb in for 15 mins, fired up and retuned the saw, running fine now, although ticking over at 3k rpm
  11. On my bench today was a friends 357, had been told it bogs down when given full revs, so I said I'd have a butchers at it, first I had to get the damn thing to start, then after I got it started, tached at 2400 rpm, so leaned it off a 1/6 of a turn, and gave it revs, picked up fine, eased off the throttle and it cut out, tryed to start it again, would only start full throttle, took spark out, engine flooded! Leaned it more, started, and flooded, set carb to 1 turn out each, flooded again!! So I checked the carb and it has a right build up of crap inside, and is stopping the needle from closing.
  12. Bang a ported pot n piston from a 390 on it, open up the muffler
  13. Merry Christmas, may next year be better
  14. Merry Christmas to you both, and thank you to you gents for giving me the confidence and to some extent the knowledge to tinker with my saws
  15. Gardenkit you're gonna have to eat your hat now!!!

    Ms261 or 346xp

Yeah, think they've all got cats now, and the fumes are the best bit, a lung full of fumes, makes you appreciate how under rated fresh air is

    Ms261 or 346xp

Yeah, but I get more cigarette breaks on my 346:thumbup: and work pays for fuel
  18. And now you have an 026 with a dodgy flywheel to fix You got it up and running yet?

    Ms261 or 346xp

They have a t540 in stock!?
  20. They respond well to a muffler mod too
  21. Well, came to check the 200t but oil tank was empty, so put more in to leak out to find where, no sign of the spider
  22. Husqvarna 136
  23. I had an understanding with the spider, I didn't move the old flymo, and he stayed put, I forgot to mention that to my brother, who wanted the tarpaulin, and yes, I scream like a little girl with spiders, to the point I have leapt from trees and that ride on mower I posted the picture of in a thread a while back. So for tonight the 200t can stay leaking, meanwhile the back of my van looks like sheiks will be trying to buy it soon
  24. 200t on the bench, oil leaking everywhere, haven't had a look yet, there's a REALLY big spider in there with it!
  25. Oh yeah, I forgot the enevitable fight with the rear bar nut
