  1. The NPTC have a decent cost for assessments, the rest of the price is down to the trainer Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. But stihl is STIHL GREY! They even have their own colour name! Oh and I would discount the 200t in your results, as 99% will use stihl as toppers Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  7. Richen L screw 1/8, then adjust LA screw until it idles correctly, if it still misbehaves, it's the pump piston in the carb, there's a little rubber o-ring on the piston Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. I called dibs first! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. Have saws, will travel Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  11. I hear you're mailing 19 year old twin girls? Send em me! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Looked at (and used) 260/261, I find them rather sluggish, sure they have more power to lean on, but the husky will have finished the tree a good few mins earlier. I have a 560, I have no issues with it. On another note, if you buy a new saw, what ever it be, run it hard from word go! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Sheppard has covered it, 550 or 560! there's nothing else really, apart from jonsered Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. Made me laugh I get what ya mean though tony Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. I'm gonna have to agree with spud and gardenkit here rich, I've never needed anything like that, I bought a cheap set of torx Allen keys for a few quid, and I only use 3 of them, the t27, 25 and 20, I learned to tighten without shearing bolts (as breaking bolts where I work would mean replacing hydraulic drive motors from my own wages!), I wouldn't use a torque wrench as they are expensive and rather pointless, I can get a bolt within 10 ft/lbs of a wrench with a normal spanner or socket. 16. I use it on mid sized oaks, so I can wedge em, but I use it where ground damage avoidance is priority, I forgot to do it on one tree, it ripped the hinge and wrecked an area of sports turf Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. Bloody hell he has been busy! Cs30/31, cs38/39, a lad on UA2.1/2.2/2.3 cs40, and loler inspection on my gear Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Oh, sounds similar to a tongue and groove, those are for more control over felling, such as 90 deg to lean and such Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. Only if you work on FISA involved stuff Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. Cost, weight, application of use, you can still use a ported saw for normal use! If I said I wanted my 560 ported so I could run a 24" bar for felling 4' trees, milling etc, but still drop down to 15" bars for day to day stuff, rather than buying a bigger saw like my 385 is for use on high days and holidays Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. Boring the face is just for stuff bigger than twice guide bar, what you sound like your describing is a standard fell, dog tooth or possibly a big pie cut Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. Used to on utilities, bloody warm stuff, down to just the shirt in winter I was that warm Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. It's just a dog tooth variant Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. I got blasted with embers a few months back, mine isn't even modded yet Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. Go on YouTube and search Danish pie cut, combines dog and split level Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
