  3. Hi, I've been asked to remove a large lawson cypress in a customers front garden. They have asked for the stump to be ground out, but we're concerned on the impact to their neighbours new driveway once the stump has been removed. I'm assuming it is very dependant on the soil type? The main stump is 1-2m away from the boundary line and the grinding will only be carried out on the customers side. What is the likelihood of movement of the neighbours driveway once the tree has been felled and ground? I am aware that it is hard to comment without seeing the site but any general advise would be much appreciated. Thanks
  4. That must have been how I did it last time, thanks Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Hi, When using the planning portal, how can I view pending applications? When I click on "my applications" the icons along the top read draft, submitted, transferred and archived. When I click on transferred, all of my applications pending or decided, show up. When I click on an individual application it just comes up with the details of my application when submitted. How can I view what's pending and decided applications? I'm pretty sure I've done it before but can't seem to work it. Any help appreciated, Thanks Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    L200 Servicing

I was told that this service involves changing some gaskets or seals, they said its a big job and would need to take apart the engine to reach, this was going to cost £690 or so. They can tell whether the seals need replacing by listening to the engine, and if they sound like they are ok they would leave them. This would cost £400. I understand that mechanical works are more expensive through the main dealers but sometimes I feel like they are taking the p! By having it serviced from elsewhere, if the parts aren't genuine mitsi is this likely to be a problem? I was told if i continued the dealer service and something was to go wrong, mitsi MAY either pay by a gesture of good will or contribute to the costs. This isn't a guaranteed offer anyway so I could end up with nothing. Maybe I'm just being tight but I'd rather not be forking money out for nothing!

Just to add, I don't use it for work much, it's only done 35k. Is there anything that has a history of failing on them?

    L200 Servicing

Hi, I'm after a bit of advise. My 2011 L200 is due for a service and this is the first that I have to pay for as the others were included in the purchase. I own the vehicle outright and want to continue the servicing as its a good thing to do. When I spoke to mitsibushi, they told me this years service would cost £690 as its due some part change. Is it worth staying with them or should I get a list of what they expect to change each year and get quotes? The only thing stopping me is the "full dealer service history" for if something major goes wrong? They have also told me that the service after this one will cost £630! I thought buying a newer vehicle would save me money, but maybe not! Any thoughts or advise would be much appreciated Thanks
  12. Burns ok, don't leave too long and over season though!
  13. That's the one! I did have a look on that website but found it very difficult to understand.
  14. Can anyone help me with the chainsaw drill bar. I've seen a video on here where a guide hole is drilled into the timber, then by attaching a small bar to the nose of a chainsaw you can bore out to the size or the bar. Or a link to where I can buy one. Thanks

    Tpo area

I Have had a reply from the council and turns out the tree in question was not included in the original tpo. The garden boundary has changed since the tpo was made which is why the address is shown to be within the area. Fortunately this has been resolved easily enough, thanks again for the previous replies.
